He got sacked with Teddy Brushci on top of him and went down awkwardly landing on his throwing arm with the ball in it. It was a bit wacky the way they/he were checking his arm out.....you couldn't really identify what the problem was. They were checking all over it. My guess is that he did something like pinched a nerve or something because it just seemed the way they were looking at his wrist, flexing his hand, rubbing his arm etc....to be this sort of thing.

We'll see.....hope he's OK.

They said after the game that he COULD have gone back in the game, but they didn't want to risk him getting hurt worse. He IS expected play next week.

Packer fans anxiously await Mondays  injury report on Lord Favre

The fact that he could have and didn't, to save him for future games (what future...they are in the tank, and he is talking retirement) ended up biting them in the AZZ. Rodgers out for the season because Farve didn't want to continue the beating he was taking. What if this is one of those 12 month type of ligiment injury? then they wouldn't have him next year either, all because grandpa was hiding from a wood-shedding

A little help getting your facts straight:

-The game wasn't over when Favre went down.

-Rodgers is the backup, it's his JOB to play when the starter is injured.

-It's a pinched nerve dufus. Not a "ligament" injury...don't know where that came from.

I was talking about Rodgers injury (it wasn't known at that time)....yes Rodgers was the back-up, and as we have spoke (at length) about benching Farve and playing Rodgers being good for the franchise (long run) that has been debated here ad nauseum.

It seems the idea of benching Farve to give experience to Rodgers was unpopular with the resident Green Bay fans, but they have no problem with Gramps digging a 21 point hole and malingering on the sidelines and throwing the kid to the wolves. Starting a green kid is one thing....tossing him in to ride out a shellacking is another. The pamper but play Farve method has now cost you your back-up this year (and maybe part of next)...where are you, if the kid takes a year to come back and Farve retires?

You make it sound like Favre was being a puss and didn't want to come back out. He couldn't grip the ball. He had a pinched nerve. Have you ever had a pinched nerve (why am I asking, you've done everything else known to man..)? It hurts like sh1t. It's quite uncomfortable, especially in the elbow (I've done it). So what, he was so suppose to receive the snap and pitch it to the RB all in one motion while NOT gripping the ball?? Gimme a fukin break. If you can't physically be out there playing, you shouldn't be playing. It's not just that, it's also a matter of the trainers and team doctor clearing him to play. If the trainer says, "no, I'm not going to clear you to play....", you can't play.....plain and simple....those are the rules.

You all b1tch and moan to have him benched, but when Rodgers comes in, he performs below average and you all bitch about throwing the kid in there early. Pick a side John Kerry.....

Doesn't really matter now that Rodgers is out for the year.

Hey I love it no matter how you slice it!  My desire is to see them languish in mediocrity.  Brett will be too old to make a difference, and it appears his "under-study" isn't very good.  I really couldn't be happier.  The only side I take is a hope that the Pack won't be back...   They'll have to lose some more games or they'll lose out on the Quinn sweepstakes...

[sarcasm]Thats a good story, I'm glad you told us.............[/sarcasm]

I think the last time I saw the draft order if the season ended now, the Packers would be picking somewhere around 12-14. Hardly in the Quinn sweepstakes, but nice try. You should try being informed sometimes, it makes you sound more intelligent.

favre is fine, he is already expected to start monday night at seattle. who cares if rodgers is out the year, if favre gets hurt there is no one they are going to be able with that is going to win a single game about the packers, not even rodgers, so f him. I know everyone says  "if favre actualy gets hurt rodgers wont get any time playing" who gives a ****, hes gonna suck, no one can replace favre.

I am sorry I made it sound like Farve pussed out....but that is exactly what I meant! No bones about it. He was throwing the ball with Rodgers coming out of half-time, so obviously he COULD grip the ball.

They were way down, looking at another half of all out pass rush and he didn't want to face it. Period, he said he could have played if he had to...did they trot him out AFTER Rodgers got hurt....NO, and he damn sure wasn't lobbying to get in, so much for the best chance to win.

Pinched nerve? yeah a few to be honest, and they sting like hell. Can't do rodeo and do Judo for as long as I have, and at my age without getting a pinched nerve or two, but mine were always in the hip or shoulder, never in the elbow. Funny thing about a pinched nerve, it hurts, but you rarely can do further damage using it.

lol u really do like being the dumbfuk of the board huh? i'm pretty sure the coaches make the decisions on green bay. the game was pretty much out of reach so i'm sure everyone said, why not get Rodgers some snaps, and he gets hurt so it's Favre's fought? lmfao, you are fukin tool.
