Purple Pain

chester fumbles twice, leading to one miami td. BJ throws right to jason taylor for another td. what is are problem, really? the right side of the o-line was new in the second half( rosenthal and whittle). bj seems washed up and not the guy to run this offense. bollinger or the rookie?

and then there is our inability to generate a pass rush, which is givibg the opposing offense a chance to spread us out and pick us apart. great we have the #1 run defense, but so what.

i am at a loss...

After the way this team has played over the past few weeks, it's becoming very clear to me that this team needs a QB.  I certainly don't believe after the way he's played over the past few weeks that Brad Johnson is the long-term solution at QB for this team.

Brad Johnson is a fukn old man. His strength is appearing to wane as the season draws on. The vikings need a quarterback badly. They have a good enough defense to keep them in games. Johnson is one of the few pieces of that puzzle that just doesn't belong. That, and the Vikings rcvrs apears to be the worst rcvng crew I've ever laid eyes on. you have a guy that can run a 4.3 40 that couldn't catch a wet blanket thrown at him from 3 feet away. And the remainder a aged possession rcvrs. You have marcus Robinson that stubss his d1ck every other game. And then the rest are cast offs from other teams.

Tavaris Jackson....well good luck with that. Who know though. at this point I would say that its time to try him out.

Looking at it as objectively as possible...I think Childress has Jauron syndrome.  His team offensively is lacking killer instinct.   The D looks solid, but the O is awful.  And much of it, coaching decisions.  A lot rests with an aging Johnson.  Most the time Taylor runs well.  They have no wireouts, and an old man QB.  I've been through this.  It's the Chris Chandler/Justin Gage years for the Bears.  Fresh blood is needed at QB, but a vet WR should help tremendously.  You guys aren't far off.  You're my biggest concern in the division.  The Lions will never worry me, and the Packers look to be off the tracks for a few years...
