More unwarranted hype for the Dolphins, I see. EVERYBODY loves the Dolphins. What's not to like about them? Fantathhhhtic aqua and orange color scheme. Big time NAME acquisitions. Oh wait i know what's not to like about them. They f*ckin suck!

Well, considering the Pats have lost more than they gained in the off-season, this might pave room for the Dolphins to catch them. (Don't get me wrong, the Pats are still a solid football team, but in my mind, they aren't the invincible team they once were.)

Last year at this time, everyone was picking the Eagles to continue to dominate the East, instead of the upstart Giants. the eagles ended up in last place and the Giants won the division.

I don't think that the pat's will end up in last place, but the Dolphins show lots of promise and have made some good off season moves. the pat's have lost a couple of good players.

It's easy to pick last years teams to repeat, but history shows that some of those teams will fail this year.

We got a highly touted RunningBack in the first round, My #1 choice of receiver in the 2nd round. A young kicker in the 4th, and the secondary should not be the problem it was last year.

I think we gained more then we lost unless the measuring stick is "name recognition". Sure Vinatieri and McGinest are more established but they are also older. I will take the potential we picked up over the elderly we lost anyday.

And how does this make it any different that the Steelers lost Bettis and Randle El? Go read your other posts criticizing the Steelers off-season and you look like a hypocritical moron.

1. Tom Brady didn't "act the fool" and get his marbles shook up in the off-season.

2. Dillion is getting old, but he has yet to retire, and I think Moroney has a BAJILLION times more upside than anyone the Steelers have left at QB. So you get beat not once, but twice in this catagory.

3. Both the Steelers and and Pats drafted highly touted receivers. Jackson has looked great at mini camps and endeared himself to the QB and the coach...... How Santurdio workin' out for ya'?

4. and last but not least, coach. Yours has been a annual screw-up that finally didn't lose the big game. Ours is Belichick.... Nuff said.

I'm not pro Pat's or Dolphins, but each year a couple of team from previous years have not had a good season. Last year at this time everyone was picking the Eagles to win their divison, over the upstart Giants. the Eagles had lots of injuries and turmoil and failed.

I'm not saying that the Pat's will tank, but the odd's are against's them to get back to the super bowl. the dolphins are improved, and the Pat's have been relatively injury free the past few years.

I know your are a Pat's fan and would like to see your team in the big game, but look at it realistically. they have replaced a number of players that were impact type players. Brady can't do everything. The league knows them better and they are primed for a few big losses this year.

I would like to mention that even though I do feel that the Dolphins have a shot of overtaking the Pats in the AFC East, let me suggest that I certainly do not mean that the Pats will miss the playoffs altogether. In fact, I ABSOLUTELY think they will make the playoffs; remember, this team always tends to play their best football in the latter part of the season, when it matters most. They could also be dangerous once they are in the playoffs, but I doubt that they are a Super Bowl team this year though.

We will see if Maroney out rushes Parker, both will be splitting carries.

I'll be the first to admit that I'd take Belichick over Cowher, but look who's coach has got himself into a little "distraction" of his own this offseason.

I just can't see how the Dolphins have improved. I didn't know signing a QB with over 120 turnovers in only 80 career starts is considered "improvement." Oh and I almost forgot! He's damaged goods! I heard that rehab clinic at Wal-Mart was doin wonders for him though isn't it?

This is true, the Pats really could do no better than 8-8 and lose the AFC East to the Dolphins, but I still have reason to be optimistic and hope for 13 wins.

Best strength is the youth on offense. I can see plays where Branch, Watson, Graham, Brady, and Moroney are all on the field, and that is a big matchup problem. If you are not a Pats fan per se I can see how you wouldn't know much about Ben Watson but I expect BIG things out of him this season. If he delivers is the largest variable of the season IMO.

Biggest problem is the linebackers... we don't have any.

That said I like the Patriots this year. Winning a Super Bowl is a long-shot for ANY team in ANY season, but I like our chances as much as any other team's.

You are probably the biggest moron on this site yet...Why are you comparing Maroney (that is how you spell his name) to the Steelers QB?...or were you trying to compare running games, in which case the steelers outgained the Patsies last year by 711 yds, of which the Bus only had 368, so shut the f*ck up about that...Santonio has had minor problems during the offseason, and if he's not in jail he has much more potential than Jackson...OK, great, you have Belichick, who still has yet to prove himself in the post Weiss, and Crennel days in the weakest division in the AFC...I seem to remember Belichick in his Cleveland Browns days, and let me tell you he was phenomenal...

1. Unless you are very, VERY stupid then you know that "QB" was a typo.

2. Who cares what the Steelers "outgained" the Pats by last year, as the feature back on both teams has changed.

3. Where did you get the idea that Santurdio has more "upside" (which is a bullsh1t non-term) than Chad Jackson? You've been reading your local paper too often.

4. Should I even bother rebutting the Belichick comment? No sane, unbiased football fan on EARTH would take Cowher over Belichick. That isn't even CLOSE. Like Brady or Roth-lisp-burger, it really isn't even up for debate.

And since you seem to be such a huge fan of ancient history: "How have the Steelers done in their past 2 head-to-head matchups with the Pats?

ANSWER: Steelers lost both. (and 1 was an AFC Championship game on your own field) Then again Cowher loses many big games on home turf so nobody was really surprised.

People compare Manning and Brady.

Nobody compares Roth-lisp-burger to Brady except die-hard Steelers fans. Brady's performance in his first Super Bowl was amazing and will forever be a part of NFL history. Roth-lisp-burger was a goddamn DISASTER and the Steelers are lucky he was unable to piss away that game.

....and you don't have to give Belichick credit, not ever. He already has a defensive game plan from his stint with the Giants in the Hall of Fame. He is a first ballot LOCK. His post-season record is equaled only by Vince Lombardi, and his longest winning streak broke a record established by freakin' George Halas.

Cowher is not fit to lick Belichicks shoes, <b>everyone knows it.</b> (although some would deny it to make themselves feel better.)

If you honestly think that there is any reasonable comparison between Tom Brady and Ben Worthlessburger than you need to have your head examined. And if you think there's any reasonable comparison between The Chin and Belichick you are a certifiable loon.

Steelers stumble to 8-8 this year, 9-7 if they're lucky.
