Hilda Munoz and Ken Byron, of the Hartford Courant, reports New England Patriots FS Tebucky Jones is trying to evict his mother, Maryann Jones, from a condominium he bought for her. Jones filed a complaint in Superior Court in June that claims his mother is not paying rent. Maryann Jones appeared in a New Britain Housing Court earlier Thursday, Aug. 3 and claimed she had made all her payments. The housing court case has been continued to Aug. 24. His sister, Shanequa Jones, also lives in the condo and is also being evicted. Maryann Jones has a history of drug and other legal problems. After she got the condo, Maryann Jones accumulated debt and bills, according to record in court and town hall. She claimed she was unable to work after being diagnosed with several illnesses, which included breast cancer, an active thyroid and palsy. She took out a $61,000 mortgage to pay off her debt, but defaulted on the mortgage. When the mortgage company initiated foreclosure, Tebucky Jones bought the condo and claimed his mother had agreed to pay $115 every month in rent but stopped in January.
