Green Bay wants K-Rob

that would work out nice.....it would give Farve someone to drink with after the game. That and when K-Rob is finally banned forever for being a drunk, he can get a job at the brewery with GoBears wisconsin friend Todd....LOL

It's not like they have much in the way of options other than Koren. NE won't let Branch go, Charles Rogers is a pothead, and I dare say you can perform better with a hangover than you can if you're baked. Trust me, I've done both.

How do you equate "Packers bring Robinson in for a visit" to "Packers want Robinson"? They may have some interest, but I bet alot of teams do. A visit is hardly a workout and contract negotiations. Three guys in charge of pro personel for the Packers are the guys that drafted Robinson (as well as most of the Seahawk SB team) and were probably seeing if he was still the same guy they interviewed prior to the draft.

I'm not saying they won't sign him, because it's possible they could. I'm not against it. Sure he has a bad drinking problem, but he's obviously never let it impact his game. Pro Bowl returner in '05. My feeling is that the Packers should let him return kicks until he runs out of appeals to his suspension (I don't know how it works) and then let him get suspended. It's not like he has leverage to get more than minimum. I don't see a problem with it.

are you for real or just plain nuts. you say the gb staff just wants to see if kr is the same guy as before his draft? yeah--he is-- a very sick alcky that has no control over his-- and yes, his ABUSE of drink. he was slated for a starring role w/ a team that's going places, unlike the packers(need to know about a underrated team? check in on the '06 vikings.) he's got legal troubles out the ying-yang-- there's a fresh warrent out for his arrest in the state of washington just for starters. you say that his problems don't effect his game? lets ask the seahawks-- he routinley missed catches and assignments while there because of his PROBLEM-- the man's about to be bannisted from the league for a year for a 4th strike--change of commissioner is what has slowed that process for now--31 teams are aware of this--so why do the packers look stupid for talking w/ this dude? because flat out, they've hit rock bottom--they're over the top desparate like there ain't no tomorrow-- and in their case--there isn't one!!!! goodbye, mr. favreee--hope your acting skills have significantly improved since "what about Mary" because you'll definitley need them at this point-- just ask mr. marino what he was thinking when he to wouldn't let go of the madness!!!

Ok thats fine that you think that, but it still doesn't mean, nor does it prove they are signing him. We don't know what the he11 they were talking to him about. They could have been saying anything to him. They could have been offering him a contract or they could have been telling him to get his sh1t together.

The Packers are just about in the same WR Situation as Philly. The Iggles have a couple of moldy socks and the Pack's got a couple of moldy socks and Donald Driver. They are DESPARATE!!..... Just thought about this...

anybody noticing a subtle shift towards players really playing hardball in forcing teams to prove loyalty? After everybody watching Troy Brown and Ty Law get done without vaseline, Javon Walker played hardball and won (which is why the pack is talking to K-Rob) and now Branch is refusing to let the Pats front office lowball him and so far DB looks like all he wants is his "fair market value" and the pats look like cheap, two faced backstabbers. BTW to pack and pat fans, hope y'all draft well because no free agents are coming to these teams while they appear to be so cheap and disloyal to guys who broke their backs for them.

The large problems with players wanting out started when Holmgren left....it seems the present administration is either inept or dishonest, whichever the last 3 stars they've had have bailed...Sharper, McKenzie, ad now J.Walker. These guys didn't make a bunch of noise over cash, they wanted out....period

I wonder if the fact that its as cold as a mofo has anything with players being generally unhappy there?

I do know that black players haven't felt at home in Green Bay, in a town where everyone looks like Andy Reid. Very little night-life, all the food comes either in a sausage casing, or swimming in cheese sauce. The women....well I'll use GoBears description...."250 pound German women slathered in pork fat"....I'll put it this way....Green Bay has a moustache shop for women!

very little black community.....a bunch of brewery working bigots....and most of the women look like Rosanne Barr.....only bigger....not to mention the weather, not a lot of brothers into the deer hunting...snow mobile riding, beer swilling good times they have in Green Bay!

Your pretty much way off base.

Sharper was CUT for cap reasons. He was making too much money and wasn't producing the way he should have for what he was making. He went to MN and made the Pro Bowl, but he hadn't been playing like a Pro Bowler for the Packers. The present administration has been dumping players that aren't producing. If you aren't doing anything and are still making money, you are gone (ex. Cletidus Hunt).

McKenzie's holdout was all about money. He wanted a new contract...plain and simple. It's believed he was also upset that assistant DB coach Lionel Washington was promoted to DB coach before Kurt Sh1ttenheimer was hired (big mistake). The main reason though, was money.

Walker's holdout was also about money...big time. He was threatening hold out before the '05 season but didn't get anything. Then he injured his knee. He came back again in '06 looking for a pay-day from the Packers. He had 2 years left on his rookie contract and didn't deserve a new deal. He had ONE season for the Packers and three mediocre seasons where he couldn't beat out bum Robert Ferguson for the #2 spot. He had no leverage. Then he stopped showing up and we got fair value for him. I didn't think they would get what they got. I wouldn't have given a 2nd for him.

LOL...your the one who's off base....I have heard interviews with all of those guys and they universally said the same thing....(as did Butler and a couple others who left the team)

they wanted more money if they were stuck playing in hell....period....so would I. Make my money, retire and get the phuck out of there.....how many black players retired to the Green Bay area and stay there when there playing days are over?....what percentage? Sure they wanted more $.....thats because the rest of thier situation sucked....why? no real black community in Green Bay....last 2 times I was at Green Bay the only blacks I saw were on the playing field...

lets here from the brothers....how many of you guys into ice fishing? ......Deer Hunting?....Snowmobiling?... Polka Music?.....drinking enough beer at Oktoberfest to make Green Bay women look good?

So the guys are going to get on national TV and make themselves sound like greedy a$$holes?

The little punks had a temper tantrum and didn't get their way. Of course they are going to be bitter.

What Butler are you fukin referring to? I know it can't be Leroy Butler...because then I know you are completely full of sh1t. Leroy Butler who started and retired as a Packer. The same Leroy Butler who still works for the Packers. Leroy Butler who I fukin remember saying he would never play for another team, ever. Yeah ok jacka$$, keep making stuff up...I will keep calling you out and laughing.

Sounds like da Bears are interested in Packer scrub Rod Gardener. Brought him in for a workout and everything. Now that guy sucks. 3 teams in 2 years...Chicago would be the 4th. They must be desperate for a WR if they are bringing in a guy who couldn't beat out Ruvell Martin at the 4th WR. Good luck with that guy! I'll take a completely drunk K-Rob and his production at the WR position over Rod Gardener's lack of motivation any day.

You think we want Robinson? Robinson came in for what Ted Thompson described as a "chat". The Bears brought Gardner in for a full workout.

yep....sure did. Think a guy will spill his guts giving up his old teams Offensive plans for a "chat"....IF he is signed it will be next week, if he wants a contract, he will spill his guts to show he wants to be a Bear...so his signing IF it comes will be after the Packers game.

he could lay the entire offense game plan out for us, and the Bears choose NOT to sign him after the game, or he may not say a thing....it remains to be seen, but the fact that he is IN chicago will make Green Bay change up thier game plan a bit. It has to be in the back of thier mind...

As if Rod Gardner actually knew what was going on with our offense. He was so out of tune he wouldn't remember even playing in GB. Haha...what a waste of talent.

he was there all thru minis and training camp, I would say he knew the offense, and the signals, and the audibles....thereby making you either go with the ones the Bears MIGHT know...or change them all

What are you talking about Iowa. Green Bay is heaven for a black male. The place is chock full of fat white women. Their is no shortage of them up there. And we all know that Black guys like fat white women.

Green Bay is fat white women valhalla.

you just have to wonder about Gardner though. How fukn dumb and unfocused can you be to lose your job in Green Bay, where your competition is with a rookie and an alligator armed pipsqueak Driver?
