Yeah I guess you are right. We have added a few Bears fans in the past weeks. I guess it's just more noticeable because there was only one Viking fan here (maybe 2) before.

My membership to this forum is new but I've been posting on the Bears' forums consistantly for several years. I would have about twice as many posts logged but they got reset when we had that political discussion.

I'm 25 years old, so all I've known is suffering from the Bears. No 1985 memories for me, all I've got is the tail end of Ditka, a full dose of Dave Wandstache and Dick Jauron. You try sleeping with THAT in your head.

Well I am almost 28, so I have fine memories of the 85' Bears killing my childhood dreams (I'm a Patriots fan).

Either way, I was just commenting on the fact that "GoBears" would not want to be generalized as a "wagon hopper" so maybe it is unfair to catagorize others this way.

As a Patriots fan I know what it's like to be accused of being "late to the party".

Aww, y'all are such sweet lads. This Vikings fan has been roaming the earth for 40 years. I have been posting to local boards for years, but just recently found the site. There appeared to be some good football talk and some pretty good posters And of course the usual complament of idiots dorks and a$$holes...but you cant stop some people from posting.

Ninja, hopping on a message board can hardly be put into the same category as wagon hopping or fairweather fans, if our definitions are the same for those two.

There seems to be a low number of Detroit fans on here to.

The amazing thing is not the low number of Lions fans...the amazing part is that there ARE Lions fans!

Of all the fans in the NFL- those who have stand behind the hapless kitty cats must be among the truest and toughest. I suffered through Red MCcombs, but the Ford familys backing of that pile O crap Matt Millen has got to be the most frustrating expereince in Pro football

been here since summer, i usually say or elude to the fact of being the viking fan, so far so good. just hope the rash of defensive injuries stops--4 starters lost for season already. looks like a ball game sunday--just as w/ the cats last wk., we should be able to hang w/ bears-- my theme is let me be there in the 4th qrt.

lions fans are still trying to figure out where ther 3 top pick wide outs have gone. at least they can say they had the greatest rb of all time in sanders.that guy was amazing.

I think that the big reason more Vikes fans are here lately is that the site has been getting some local plugs both on sports radio (KFAN) and the local paper (StarTribune).

A little advertising can go a long way.

I am new here and happy to call myself a purple-blooded boy.

Look forward to hashing it out with all the other folks here.
