Is Parcels Making A Mistake???

Did anyone else see the Monday night game?  Bledsoe had 1 interception, Romo had 3 or 4?  I wasn't impressed with Romo, but I am not sure if that is really his fault.  What do you think?  Does Tony Romo suck or does his offensive line suck so bad that there is no way he could look good?

Even though Bledsoe is getting sacked left and right, I wouldn't put a younger QB in there that is more mobile just so he can learn what its like to run for his life.  I would upgrade my mother F'ing O-line.  Maybe that's why I am not an NFL coach?

Parcells realizes that he's kinda stuck with his O line. He must figure Romo's mobility gives his

passing game a better chance to succeed. Bledsoe can't buy enough time for Glenn and MeO

to get deeper than 15 to 20 yds, so the underneath routes are still crowded. If the QB sits in

that pocket he's a goner...Anyway, how much longer before Dallas implodes, Parcells walks

and Skeletor has to promote Mike Zimmer to finish out the season?

BBC: "I don't know what that means.  Can you elaborate shack?"

shack: "No"

Seriously, what the F does "no" mean?  Are you saying that Parcels is not making a mistake.  And your answer cannot be "no".

That made me laugh, BBC! Alright, I'll elaborate.

I think they need to look at Romo instead of going with Bledsoe because they already know what they have in Drew, and it ain't working.

If you ask what mistakes has he made in general I would say allowing TO on his team, being quiet after he was brought onto his team, and not having anyone better to replace Bledsoe than Romo. I guess you could even say having the O-line that he does is a mistake, but with TO dividing the locker room I wonder if it really matters. They might be a fine O-line, but with a cancer in the room it's hard to know if an upgrade would actually solve anything.

Bledsoe is a statue, or is it stature? He's getting pounded before he can make a decision, and really the speed of his decision making isn't even the issue, but the speed that the D gets to him. Romo is more mobile so he has a chance to allow the receivers to get downfield or at least scan his options. Coming in after halftime isn't a fair evaluation of him and I think he has a better chance to play better with a week of first unit practice and a starters mindset going into the game.

Might be the team needs a distraction too. Allow them to focus on the gameplan instead of questioning their old QB's ability, and all the BS associated with TO. If it doesn't work are they really that much worse off? Hopefully, but I'm an Eagles fan. I love what they're doing right now.

So, no, I don't think he is making a mistake by starting Romo, but I hope he is.

I'm a Bills fan and I got to suffer through Bledsoe, the guy has the worst pocket awareness ever.

Even when hes got decent prtection he would find a way to run into the defender.

I love how the NFL keeps recycling these "Big arm" quaterbacks that can't make plays and run guys like Flutie out.

PS: I hate Wade Philips D.I.A.F. B1TCH

Is Parcels Making A Mistake?  Who knows...Romo's an experiment. What you do know is that you cant win with Bledsoe. He is a 3 step drop or shotgun QB at this stage in his career. If the Cowboys get behind and he is forced to throw deep...he is doomed

Does this move mean Parcells isn't going anywhere anytime soon?

Let's face it, Beef (my old man's nickname for him) doesn't really have a whole lot going on other than football.  His old lady left him, he is a great football coach, and as much as I hate the Cryboys, Beef knows how to coach and there aren't 5 better coaches than him.  He's healthy right now.  I wouldn't be suprised if he sticks around Dallas for awhile.  Besides, who tha hell else is dumba$$ jerry gonna hire better than beef??

I say this is a move for the future.  A move in the right direction?  That is up to Romo to prove.

I hate to go all "six degrees of separation" and sh1t on you guys and tie this situation back to the Bears....I'm good at it, but.

This situation is not unlike what the Bears had last year with Orton.

You've got a qb that is doing just enough to get the W....most games....and fuks off a bunch in others....But for the most part winning games. People were split down the middle on this issue too. The fact is is that everyone knew that without an offensive spark that the season was going to peter out....Grossman brought it...Then Steve Smith ate it and shat it out. Such as Life. Instead of being a 28-21 game it would have been 41-3 with Orton.

This situation is a little bit different in that bledsoe is a savvy vet, but the way I look at it, is that it is on the other side of the spectrum in the same exact spot.

Given the Cowboys situation with their offensive line, you almost have to let Romo play the games. Aside from the retarded rookie nervous blunders on prime time, this kid showed some signs of a decent qb. My guess is that they are working with him to get him to throw some balls away rather than forcing them. That did seem to be his only problems according to what I saw.

Adding the element of speed to his position changes everythign about their playbook now. You will see rollouts, you will see some 5 -7 step drops. I think that they will be better. Bledsoe was a fukn dud. 3 step drops...throwing from his back foot. He is now throwing the biggest lollipop balls I have ever seen. You could knit a fukn afghan under some of those throws. Bad news in the NFL when your arm strenght begins to wane. His only redeeming quality as a qb was his deep pass ability...now that the O-line is sh1t...you now have an average to below average guy having to play the position in ways he hasn't in all his years in the league. Thats trouble..

Go Romo

Except for that raging cancer in the locker room named TO.

I wondered aloud in a different thread if by causing the distractions and throwing QB's under the bus of two teams that all you're left with is the skills.

When he came to Philly I think it improved the play on both sides of the ball just because of the possibilities. He didn't bring that to Dallas.

What's even more bizarre is how he went out of his way to not fit in in Dallas and created a circus atmosphere, unlike in Philly where it was created because of him, not by him.

Skills, though he has them in spades, doesn't counterract cancer. Seems all he really learned was how to spread it faster.

Too true, but I would think it's more a symptom of being on a crumbling team than a deterioration of talent. If he ain't with a winner, he don't try. If he is with a winner he wants all the credit. fukn cancerous.

Well, Romo seemed to come through pretty well against the Panthers. I agree with all the other posters who've pointed out that you can only go so far with Bledsoe. He'll have his hot games but after awhile the rest of the league always figures him out. Drew is one of those QBs who can either see what's going on around him or see way down field. He can't do both and invariably he ends up holding the ball too long and down he goes.

Other posters have pointed out that the Cowboys just aren't a very good team in general. And it's true, although Sunday's win was pretty impressive. (Are the Carolina Panthers the most overrated team in recent NFL history? A good case could be made for it.) Bill Parcells took over three years ago and Dallas started like a house afire, going 7-2 in the first nine games. In the three years since then they've been around .500. They get more ink and air time than any other franchise in the league, yet they are nothing more than middle of the pack. Parcells is a good coach, but he hasn't won anything without Belichick and I'm sure that fact galls him. Bill has never been the life of the party, but he looks particularly miserable in Dallas this year. If they don't turn it around and win big, I can't imagine he'll be back at the helm next season.
