the situation here in God's country seems eerily simliar to that in the big D. Johnson has even less mobility than bledsoe, and less of an arm. if you watched the game on monday you could see him panic while being hurried. bollinger didn't do too much to impress either.

what would you do if you were childress? we still have a good enough def to keep us in any game. with that said a wild card berth is not out of the question. status quo or qb change?

Tjack - untried rookie.

I don't know phole...I honestly had/have no expectations of a SB run this year. My predictions were 9-7 / 10-6 year. So many new pieces in the purple puzzle.

Heres a recap I copied from another board I post on....sort of sums it up.

Option #1: The Kid
Pros: Get the kid's ears wet, see what he can really do.
Might bring a youthful enthusiasm that seems to be missing.
Cons: He's a kid. He's going to make mistakes. It could be argued that throwing a kid to the wolves too soon can stunt his career, though I don't think I buy it.

Option #2: Bollinger
Pros: Has some experience.
Cons: Not all experience is the good kind.

Option #3: See if Tarkenton is ready for a break from infomercials.
Pros: Get to see one of the all time greats in a historic comeback.
Cons: AARP insurance unlikely to cover football injuries.

Option #4: Joe Namath
Pros: Big name, bigger smile.
Cons: Recent passes have come up pathetically short. Ask Suzy Kolber.

Option #6: Sigh, shrug, and accept Johnson. And thank god we're not Arizona.

If he caves you know he didn't have it to begin with and you're better off. Ryan Leaf, for example, was a weak minded fool to begin with.
