beises, do vick's recent performances suddenly nullify his arm's length list of stupid acts over the past few years? does the fact that favre has put together a few good games in recent weeks nullify all the dumb things that have come out of his mouth in the past few years?

of course not. it doesn't change those things one iota. and they're mock-worthy regardless of vick's or favre's performances. florio has never been prejudiced by a guy's play on the field. if he's a moron off the field, he gets the treatment.

as for his steelers fandom getting in the way, florio's done plenty of of mocking the steelers, too.
wasn't there a picture of big ben in a patriots uniform with a caption saying that he dressed as a "real quarterback" for halloween? yup.

maybe florio IS a hypocrite. but your examples don't work.

but it doesn't take a florio fan club member to notice the high level of detailed knowledge you've amassed on the subject (gosh, that was time well spent), your inability to be reasonable about the subject (pointed out in my earlier post), and the high percentage of your posts on florio.

together, these factors, which are undeniable, strongly suggest that you have a creepy obsession with him.

look buddy.  critiqing someone's journalism on their own site is real creepy. riiiight. I'm actually a big florio fan. But I'll still point out his flaws. Believe it or not he's not Jesus and he is wrong a lot. I know that hurts some of the faithful quite a bit.

and you can say it as many times as you you want, but i'm not a florio "worshipper". i find the site mostly enjoyable, but a bit repetetive. i like the messageboard. and btw, i've been reading pft for about 4 yrs, but only joined the messagboard recently.

i didn't post on this thread out of some desire to defend my hero, prince florio. i posted because i thought YOUR description of him as a "hypocrite" made no sense. you suggested that he should praise favre and vick for their recent play. my question, which you still haven't answered, was: wouldn't that be more hypocritical than his current silence? you can answer that question any time you want.

there are much better ways to criticize someone's journalism. you seem to know it chapter and verse (which i maintain is utterly creepy...as i say above, get a life). since you're so hellbent on criticizing florio, can't you find a better angle? or do you have to make stuff up? i guess you're not as smart as you think you are.

I dont agree or disagree with Mr. Stevo on this, but I do think to just take something at face value, without proof of anything is kind of a dumb way to believe in stuff, it is a rumormill, yya know, and therefore until they actually happen, they are rumors.  He gets some dead on, (randy Moss trade) and some way off, (early brett favre retirement, remember, during the preseason).  All in all, seems to me he has good sources for his rumors, and other than that is just another internet bloggerposting his opinions on recent events.  I find many of his opinions funny and hilarious, but i dont always agree with them. 

As for your question, stevo, about why he hasnt praised the recent play of favre and Vick, (I am a huge Favre fan, and I hate Vick) is because they arent sustained preformances.  An Arguement can be made that both of them are, but 3 games and 2 games of solid play respectively isnt enough for a total turn around in opinion.  And also, during one of his podcasts with Dante, he was explaining the brett Favre interception thing, and said "unfortunatly he is probably gonna get the touchdown record before the interception one"  wy unfortuantly? because then Florio is a little bit wrong in his assessment of the season.  Its kind of a chicken way to admit your wrong, but it works for me.

The one thing about the site that does bother me, and he has been doing this for a while now, is that he will hear something, from a source or otherwise, and then post the AMAZING news that "he knows what happened, but cant post it on the site" for defamation purposes.  While i can respect the fear of being sued, please, sir, spare us the "I know and you dont but i cant tell you" posts.  They are annoying for the rest of us who dont have inside sources to the NFL.

After meeting "Big Irv".....(possibly a nickname for the dogs member)...Stevo concluded that...though he didnt actually talk to Brett...and......though he didnt actually talk to Florio....he figured it all out on his own.

It was so obvious.  PFT didnt rip Favre because of the 29 interceptions Favre threw last year .....they didnt rip Favre because of all the "I might retire...I might not retire BS...and respective press conferences".....PFT ripped Favre because Stevo met the Favre family (and dog)......and from that encounter....can now read Florio's mind !!!!!  Stevo knows ...just ask him. He knows why Florio wrote a particular article because he "talked" with a member of the Favre family....sound conclusion to me.
