Falcons find their WR help?

Falcons | Hall works with wide receivers during evening practice Thursday
Thu, 3 Aug 2006 21:11:48 -0700

AtlantaFalcons.com reports Atlanta Falcons CB DeAngelo Hall worked the entire evening practice with the team's wide receivers Thursday, Aug. 3. Hall lined up as the lone receiver on his first play in an 11-on-11 situation, but the ball was handed off to RB Jerious Norwood.

lol!  Anyway, I did here a rumor today that they were interested in both Porter and Lelie!  If they wound up getting both of them, I think that would be a HUGE upgrade to their offense!

Hall might be the best corner playing right now, his potential is tremendous. He should not be on offense; ever.

They don't need any recievers because they don't have a QB that can pass. Well they do have one, but he is the backup...

Agree with Jet Black...wait until Jimmy Williams gets a grip , we will be in good shape at CB.  In practice they said that Vick was upset the most when Finneran went down.  He caught 54 passes last year and 39 for first downs.  We are gonna struggle , we need help , just don't do it with DHALL.  On another note , watch for the biggest SH!T talking (probably ever) when DHALL and C.Johnson face each other this year.  They are all over sports talk down here, weekly, talking shiot, I mean MAJOR (like I never heard before)

hall might be the best CB on the Falcons team, but not the league.  no way that a 2 year player is "the best CB" in the league, it's a position that is based too much on experience.  athleticism will get you so far, but he's certainly not perennial pro bowl material yet.

User, Hall may only have 2 seasons under his belt, but he is easily one of the top 5 corners in the NFL right now...

The falcons dont really need wr help as bad as you think. What it would cost to get ashley lelie or porter you are aleast giving up a 2nd round pick and it has been proven if you are smart you can get a 6 year starter out of a 2nd round pick. Falcons fans be optimistic and wait because jerry porter or lelie is not the answer it is just trouble

Jfran, are you suggesting that the Falcons actually have GOOD WR's?  I know I certainly don't think they're that good (in fact, I think it's one of their weaknesses).  As far as DeAngelo Hall is concerned, I don't know that much about him.  I assume he's decent but I wouldn't say he's a top 5 corner though.

No i am certianly not suggesting they have good wide recivers. One of the leagues worst. They dont throw the ball and there offense does not thrive on the pass. I am suggesting dont over pay (with draft picks) for bums like porter and lelie they should keep there draft picks and contuine to run the ball well.

Don't they run the same version of the West Coast offense that Denver does?

I just don't know what people are thinking when they believe that the Falcons have rcvr problems.

ITS THE Fleet footed strong armed completely innacurate Qb you a holes.

The guy refuses to put touch on the ball. This means 3 yard finger breaking bullet passes that no man could catch. that means line drive 80 yard passes that hit the defender in the back because he cant get it over the rcvers shoulder. either that or the  ball is so completely overthrown that God on stilts couldnt pull it down.

Try Matt Schaub. convert Vick to a running back and get it over with already

I must admit, Vick does have an arm, but his accuracy can be compared to that of Quincy Carter when he was in Dallas.  lol!!!

Lelie may be fast, but he drops every important long pass that they throw at him. You can't teach a recvr hands.
