Doug Pederson was one of the worst the Packers have had of recent years. Heck of a nice guy though. Had ZERO arm strength and his run was more like a jog.
back in the 80's the Purple had a guy named steve dils. i remeber people use to sayhe was retarded, Corky ya know. i remember believing it and all of my friends , we just couldn't believe a retard was in the nfl.
For some of you Bears fans, Jim McMahon was one of the worst backups that Packers had in the mid-90's. He got another ring though. I remember hearing that he was begging Holmgren to let him do a drop kick during the season (like Flutie did). Holmy would never let him though.
After watching him the another night, Jim Sorgi is the worst. He looked like a boy among men out there. Horrible.
Koy Detmer is an okay backup, good clipboard coach, great holder for David Akers, team guy. In his most important start, he kicked ass on Monday Night Footbal.
Koy Detmer 's first start in three years began and ended with an ungainly fall.
In between those tumbles, Detmer made enough big plays to propel Philadelphia to an impressive win -- and prove that no matter who's healthy enough to play quarterback, the Eagles are good enough to keep winning.
Filling in tremendously for Donovan McNabb , Detmer passed for 227 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for another score before leaving with a dislocated left elbow late in the Eagles' 38-17 win over San Francisco.
McNabb is expected to miss the rest of the regular season with a broken ankle, but in Detmer's first start since 1999, he was outstanding for nearly three quarters.
Using all of his receivers in coach Andy Reid's unpredictable game plan, Detmer carved up the 49ers' confused secondary and staked the Eagles (8-3) to a big lead.
"I wasn't counting any straight (completions) or anything like that, but I felt like I was in a rhythm," Detmer said. "The offensive line was giving me great lines to see, and the receivers were making remarkable catches. We did this entirely as a team."
Scott Whelihan (sic?) gave perhaps the worst relief performance in NFL history when he came in for Ryan Leaf in 1998. Also, the stopgap starter (I consider journeymen and backups to be of the same ilk) who kept the seat warm for the Eagles in 98 and 99 was cover your eyes bad. Quinn was an obvious choice too, hmm who else?
Ray Lucas was completely lost when he had to fill in for Miami in 2002.
Billy Joe Tolliver got cut for not studying the playbook when he was with the Saints, claiming that he didn't expect to actually see the field.
Marques Tuiasosopo has been wasting roster space for years now.
Michael Bishop was an option QB whose scrambling preseason performances got Patriots fans in a frenzy in the late 90s, but Belichick cut him to make roster space for Tom Brady (thank the football gods).
Craig Krenzel is a garbage QB at the NFL level, and really wasn't all that spectacular in college. He was at the helm of a talented offense and never seemed to have the hunger or tools to succeed at the pro level.
Koy Detmer is a roster leech who got assraped on national television last year.
AJ Feeley is a fraud, and he was an arrogant prick when he was starting for Philly in 02.
"AJ Feeley is a fraud, and he was an arrogant prick when he was starting for Philly in 02."
he may have had one of the worst pump fakes i've ever seen: a barely detectable twitch of your entire torso does not approximate a throwing motion, and will not fool even the worst defensive back in the league. Clearly, I'm not a huge fan of A.J., but at least the team didn't fall apart the year he had to start 6 games.
but "arrogant prick"? do you have personal experiences to back this up? he seemed pretty humble to me.
i feel really bad for A-Mac getting run over by T-Rac. what an unfortunate incident. A-Mac kept a good attitude about it all, so kudos to him in that regard.

You are watching the same NFL as the rest of us? Batch went 2-0 last year. Now if you would have said Tommy Maddox .. ok .. that I agree with.
