Technically that would be your opinion. But your a Bear fan, so maybe you don't know the difference. Reality is more like how the Packers have 3 Lombardi trophies to the Bears lonely one.

Tack on the other 9 World Championships and make it 12 to the Bears what, 8? This is the best rivalry in sports I think. Even Bears fans have to admire what Favre has done for the rivalry. He made it interesting all over again from the lopsided rivalry it was in the 80s.
just like in the past, the packers are back in it. get ready to relive those '80's. it's gonna be a long couple of years cheeseheads. you better hope florio's farve comments are nostradamus like and he really does retire asap, you'd be better off w/ rogers now. just sayin'...
vikes win the norris and thier top 5 def wins them the hardware.(and if i'm wrong, well this is just a rumor site, right?)
Never have I said that Bears fans were classy....if you've been to Soldier you know better, but I've also been to Lambeau, you know...the stadium you get to pee in a trough for a bathroom......claaaassy, you know....the aluminum bleachers where everyone gets the same 14 inches to stick thier 4 ft azzes in?
don't lump everyone together....I have the utmost respect for Brett Farve (until his "will I retire tour Part III....god it's getting as bad as Rocky movies) I have enjoyed his play since he came into the league and has said it many times on this site. That said...his play has started to deteriorate, as has the team around him.
Ours is the best rivalry in football, and both teams have a great history....well at least the Bears do....the Packers were kicked out of the league for cheating. While you're doing your hate thing remember every Green Bay fan has to thank who for thier team?....PAPA BEAR HALAS....your team was folding....couldn't make the payroll and was moving. Halas paid the wages for the entire team till you knotheads could get your crap back together, and keep the team there....don't beat your chest about your history unless you know it.
Okay I won't understate....the Packers have just returned back to the early 80s...is that better?....a bad O-line.....no RBs on contract after this year. The 2 best players you've had in the last 5 years both demanded to be traded. You're QB of the future has all sorts of question marks. The best players you have on the team are all around 30 years old....the man who molded your bunch of crap into a real team is Ron Wolf....and I doubt if he'd come back if you begged. next to that....cloudy seems an understatement...
Phole...LMAO....one broke down ex-bear and a wino at WR....sweet....all you need is your RB back with his big rubber wiener and the circus is complete.
lol! Vikes win the Norris? Top 5 defense wins them hardware? Hmmm....I'll have to think about that one. I can easily assume Phole that you are a closet Vikings fan...lol!!!
....don't beat your chest about your history unless you know it.
You don't mind if we add presumptuous to "understated" - do ya? Point out any statements of fact that I've made that are inaccurate, and I'll concede the point.
not in the closet here, i pee purple thank you . this is the real test for wilf/childress,"a code of ethics",and all the other rhetoric. fran foley undermined that a bit. now ko-ro. even if the turd manages to escape the nfls wrath( 1 yr susp) the purple better cut his sorry ass. if they keep him after it is determined he won't be suspended then they are full of doo doo. like the bears and the packers( and any other team really) when you've been a fan your whole life you can get a feel for things. i do think childress is the real deal. could be the closest thing we've done to replace Bud( sorry denny & Burnsie). this def will be very tough. by week 10 i want sorry's from you fools. but if i'm wrong then lemme have it. the offense is a concern though. but at the minimum that o-line may be enough of an anchor to do something. i've always enjoyed the vikes/bears and vikes/ pack gamesvery much. i was actually excited in '85. i've rooted for Sweetness. I've cheered for Fvarveereeve. some of my favorite players of all time have played on those squads. but GB is warped back to the 80's, no doubt. but the bears just don't have enough on that offense to finish. just my opinion, the same will be said about the purple. from 1980 -1989 the pack were something like 52-75-3( i may be off by a couple). forresst gregg, tony mandrich, brent fulwood, ken rutgers, i mean they make the purple look like draft day genius'. da bears till 84 wern't much better. betwwen butkus and sweetness it was pretty stale. and the re's been more downs than ups since. y ahave a sweet def now, but that's it. good luck with that.
I 100% agree with what you said about fans of teams have a better feel for how their team is doing. Guys like you and I know our team's players strengths and weaknesses.
Some concerns and questions I have about the Queen's defense:
1. Will Pat Williams play the same way he did last year? He was out of shape coming into TC, is there any indication he is doing better physically?
2. Is Kevin Williams alright with his knee? Just some blurbs (mostly on KFFL) have indicated his knee is causing some problems. He is day to day sometimes. Sometimes he is held out of pracitce. Sometimes it sounds alright. Will he be 100% by opening day, or will his knee hold him back any?
3. How is Erasmus James progressing? I know he had a dissapointing rookie year. Is he doing well? How about Udeze? Is there any reason to doubt these guys won't be 100% throughout the season?
3. Can the their top 4 LBs,who I assume are Leber, Henderson, Thomas, and Harris, be consistant without Greenway? The 4 of them combined for only 170 tackles last year, all of them playing in at least 14 games (Leber in only 9). In comparison Nick Barnett had 138 and Urlacher had 121.
4. Will Smoot live up to his potential and be consistant? Winfield is the most consistant, followed by Sharper. Is Dwight Smith going to be good opposite Sharper? How will losing Tank hurt the team the DB core rotation wise? Will Sharper pick anything other than dead ducks (sorry just a crack for leaving the Packers)? How is Dovonte Edwards fairing? Will he help the DB core any?
Now, I'm not saying this defense will be bad, I'm just saying there are alot of questions. As many questions as the Packers offense, the Lions defense, or the Bears offense.
all fair points my man. first, Fat Pat is the biggest question mark. but the d-line has great depth and he will get rotated. so conditioning is one thing, but some guys just show up on game day, ya know?
second. K Will has seemed to be hurt all the time. but after the whoopin' that d-line did to oakland i think they're just fine.
third. james and udeze also looked great. they seemed to be playing together, pushing the ball to one another. with darrien scott, spencer johnson and ray edwards as backups i think we're tight. they both seem healthy and talk is they are way into tomlins plan.
fourth.leber isgonna be a great role player. will do his job, won't get out of position, but won't be a standout. henderson has been a monster so far. he's gonna be fun to watch. harris will finally prove there was some value afterall in the moss trade. the one good year he had in oakland was when he played middle and a scheme like we'll be using this year. thomas is actually better than greenaway right now. not to say it will always be that way. but greenway did look like he was gonna be a stud on special teams.
fifth.smoot put 10 lbs of muscle on during the offseason. he'll be more physical like winfield. edwards is gonna be real good. i don't know if he's where brian williams is yet but maybe.fox and griffin will add good depth. safety the only real question is smith. i don't know much about him, but he knows tomlins system so that's a plus. sharper is still above average. offord and w. hunter are good backups and rookie blue will be here too for special teams. he's a lot like tank williams.
so your questions are valid. but this is why i think we'll overcome.
Well, I certainly believe this has yet to be seen. And as far as da Bears are concerned, Phole, sure they have ?'s on offense, but I think you might have forgotten about their defense. It carried them last year, and I certainly believe it is good enough to carry them again this year.
LOL....I love the way you guys keep refering to the Bears "weak" offense.....for the last time, for those who don't understand english very well....THEY HAD THE 3RD STING ROOKIE QB IN LAST YEAR....and how would ANY of your teams look with the same thing?....I don't care if it is freakin Indy....put in a rookie third string QB with 0 pre-season snaps and ?
anyone who doesn't think having a real starter or a solid #2 (some would say #1) instead of what they had last year won't make them better is retarded....plain retarded.
teams are a 3 legged monster....the Bears D is strong......with a NFL QB I would assume the O will get better.....and the Special teams got alot better.....all the starters back and many of the back-ups got plenty of playing time last year ....same coaching staff for the 3rd year....anyone looking past this team doesn't understand football
Smoot getting more physical....thats a given....dude couldn't get LESS physical unless he quit football entirely.....the guy hits like my grandma, and she hasn't been hitting the same since that hip replacement....LOL
PS....hey Pauly....this thread WAS NOT started by a Bears fan....Tacobill is one of the site moderators AND is from PHilly.....No Bears fan there.....talk about being a hypocrite.....just because someone said the Packers suck they are a Bears fan? LOL....no ....just an intelligient football fan....as far as the history goes....you're the one who was talking about thier long and proud history (unless your team sucks) but yet your team went bankrupt and had to be bailed out by the Bears....and was thrown out of the league for cheating....a proud history indeed
....don't beat your chest about your history unless you know it.
You don't mind if we add presumptuous to "understated" - do ya? Point out any statements of fact that I've made that are inaccurate, and I'll concede the point.
first off, while you didn't outright say it, you insinuated it when you refered to you going off on another one of your effin Bears hate tirades....you asked if I wasn't being a hypocrite, Packer fans didn't start this thread........are you the dumbest man on the internet or don't you remember everything that comes out of your piehole?
still waiting?...you prate about your long and storied NFL history ("unless your team sucks") but yet remain the only team to be thrown out of the league? Do you KNOW why the city owns the Packers? how that came to be? Like I said learn your history before you beat your chest about it....while the Packers have a long history of good teams and players on the field....off the field thier history sucks...one giant clusterfuk
Like I said learn your history before you beat your chest about it....
Like I said, point out where I got my facts wrong and I'll conceded the point. I'm STILL waiting.
I guess you're free to assume I don't know the history if you're really intent on it. Just like the Bears were free to assume they could cover Steve Smith one on one.
Iowa. you are going to see that the Packers fans still have the taste of glory in their mouths....Though it should be pretty much washed out with big fat bucket sized globs of Bear semen this year.
Ap- Brett Favre has been trying out a new throwing tecnique during this years camp. In an apparent move to counteract his sacking (predicted to be no less than 10 times per game), Brett has been taking snaps from the seated position 10 yards back. Though it doesn't appear to be any less accurate than his three step drop and throw off his back foot overthrown bomb pickoffs, it looks to serve a better purpose by keeping Brett healthy enough to get his 30 TD's and 60 picks predicted for him this year.
Also in the news, Ahman Green blows out his MCl and ACL whilst trimming his hedges. Apparently he dropped his hedge trimmer on his own toe, and whilst struggling to regain his composure blew out the entire ligament structure of his left knee. Green, whilst being loaded into the ambulance was quoted as saying "oh lawdy I jus don know how dis coulda happent, I just changed my prunin gloves cause it was da gloves dats what caused me to drop it 4 times before this one happent... naw mean?" His Neighbor, Samkon Gado was also injured in the incident by falling on a tribal spear that he was attempting to hunt deer with in his yard.
In other news, Najeh Davenport reports to camp weighing 340 lbs, demands to be put in only when within 1 yard of the goal line. Najeh failed his first physical by having a class 1 coronary 4 yards into the 40 yrd dash. Najeh had reported to camp late, due to serving a team suspension of 3 days for taking a herculean sized sh1t in the teams gatorade jug. They had to throw it out.
Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers was serving a one game suspension for attempting to crawl into Brett Favres bed last night to snuggle because he was lonely. After Brett kicked him out, it was later discovered that Aaron had been taking Brett Favres soiled underpants and licking and sniffing them during the night hours of training camp. All locks on the dorm doors have been changed as a result.
Coach Mccarthy was quoted as saying, "boy this team sucks, its like working with group of retards in a room full of bouncy balls, but hey, at least I have a head coaching job, and the cheese up here is just delicious!"
Expectations are low, so I just watch for core players to begin developing. A nice upset or two would be gravy. With expectations this low, they can't really dissapoint me. We've won way more than our share of championships to this point, so we can afford to be patient.
The Bears have the pressure of dealing with the favored front runner status. And you better hope they deal with it better than they did against Carolina last year.
That is a good point. We have a much different outlook on the start of the season than that of years past due to last year. And yes, that leaves a lot of room for potential letdown....But....This division is so fukd up right now, if they were to struggle this year a lot of Bears fans would fukn hang themselves myself included.
I think you have a bigger potential issue. Teams don't typically lose playoff games after earning bye weeks. The winning percentage for the home team is ridiculous. Yet the Bears have managed to lose two in a row.
I think there's a monkey on your back, and it'll continue to grow until you win a couple of playoff games.

careful there bud, with all the uncertainity in this division that might not be a wise threat(or promise )
since we Bear fans are constantly bringing up the 85 season....guess i will here....pre-season record 1-3.....lost the first 3...guess maybe preseason games are just the glorified scrimmages they are, and mean about as much as they're worth
GB looked pretty good tonight against Atlanta. With all the knee jerk reaction (a lot of it in this thread) that's been going on this pre-season, I guess this must mean that GB is going to the playoffs. It's just pre-season and it doesn't mean much.
I started this thread....and still think GB blows. But I was impressed with last night. Having said that....this is one of those rare preseason games you could actually bet....a lock for GB to win.
New coach....at home...after a bad game. McCarthy needed the win, the players needed confidence and the fans needed something....albeit preseason...to get excited about.
And...Atlanta had a win over the Patriots last week
...I wont even get into the amount of time theirs starters played
