Redskins "priming" themselves for Cowhers?

Interesting that Washington picks up TJ who Pitt wanted earlier this year? Just a thought.

This is what is commonly reffered to as "reaching".

Cowher is under contract through the 2007 season, so even if he did want to coach the Redskins (why would a coach want to leave Pitt for Washington?) he couldn't do so until 2008.

The thought its that he would retire after this season, take 2007 off, and come back to Washington for the 2008 season.

We shall see.

If Cowher retires he will stay retired in Carolina until his daughter graduates H.S., then he may return...For an 8 figure a year contract.

Steelers are a perfect franchise. Doesn't make sense for Cowher to leave and go work for Snyder

it is common knowledge that the Steelers are not going to pay top dollar to keep Cowher. I think he will end up somewhere like Washington, where they will pay him.

BUT, parcells is going to retire this year, I think the next coach of the Cowboys will be.....

Jeff Fischer

He is predicted to be out in Tennessee, if they have a down year. He is a top coach, so, looks like a match made in heaven to me.

Cowher is in for the love of the game. He doesn't care about the money. And damn it's not like he's going to soup kitchens for dinner. They'll still pay him MILLIONS!

No way Cowher leaves the Burgh for Washington - if he does I'll have PFT's logo tattoed on my forehead.

I don't think Fisher could work for Jerry Jones......Fisher was taught under the mantle of DA Coach....lippy and lying owners don't get along with those types....and much of it depends on how Parcells leaves, if he is run out new coaches may be hard to find

It's cute watching the Steelers fans get all bub-eyed in here. I guess if it was Belichick I would be upset myself.

Then again Cowher has been coaching the Steelers for well over a decade and won 1 Super Bowl, Belichick coached the Patriots for 6 so far and has won 3.

Cowher is not that good of a coach, if anything I think he has kept the Steelers from winning more than they have.

Cowher is a players coach, and he does love the sport, but you are an idiot if you think it isnt about the money...If Cowher retires he will end up with a team that will pay an 8 figure contract...Im a diehard Steelers fan, but im realistic, and the steelers will continue to win with Kenny Wisenhunt or Russ Grimm as the head coach...
