I'm gald you're getting a kick out of it. Because it's about the only joy as a football fan you'll have this season.
Gee, I haven't heard the Urlacher is over-rated thing before. Check the stats. He may be over-hyped, but he's one of the best defenders in the league.
I agree, the Bears suck. Grossman is still showing his inexperience. He will be injured soon. Griese can be good and can be bad. I wouldn't sign him if I was a GM (Bear hater or not). The Oline is good. Jones is good. Muhammed is good, but I don't think his talents are shown because of the lack of a QB. The offense is too inconsistant in my opinion. The talent is there, I just don't think they show it all the time. Thats why they suck.
I wouldn't talk too much about Urlacher. GoBears surfs the internet with his Brian Urlacher blow-up doll, so you might offend. GoBears...what a drunk!!
I still think they will win that division though. They may stink on offense, but they clearly don't stink on defense, and I think their D is certainly capable of carrying them once again in what I still believe is a very weak NFC North.
has there been a game that counts and no one told me? it's preseason ladies. to say the division is weak is ignorant. 3 unproven coaches and a division winner returning a dominating def. it's all speculation. if we're gonna be like that then i say watch out for the purple, they'll turn some heads early. that def COULD be very very good. top 10 maybe...

Grave Digger, I think we have different definitions of sucking. A good O line and good running game does not mean the O sucks. All it could mean is the Bears' passing game could and probably will suck again. I expect more of the same. Good enough to go to the playoffs and that's it...unless Grossman turns Jeckyl/Hyde and actually plays well.

So a 1 dimensional offense is playoff caliber? So they can run the ball...woo hoo. Did ya ever think that teams will start to gameplan to stop the run first since they can't pass worth sh1t?? Thats why there is not one team that can just pass the ball or one team that just runs the ball. You have to have some kind of balance. No offense, or team for that matter can survive with just a good run game. Denver has been top 5 in running for god knows how many years, but thats not all they do.
Gravedigger, WHAT are you talking about? EVERYONE tried to game plan to stop the run last year since Orton could not complete a pass and what did that do? Chicago Bears were 8th in the league in rushing. This time around, they can't constantly stack 9 in the box or Rex will make them pay. Remember the playoff game vs Carolina's very good D? Rex lead the team to 21 offensive points, it's a shame our defense played like sh1t. This team is leaps and bounds better than they were last year, if you don't see the upgrade in Rex, how about Griese? We lost NOBODY from last year's team and upgraded our QB no matter which one starts. Make no mistake about it, this is THE team to contend with in the NFC. Can they beat the AFC's top teams, that's another story...
