Today I READ a prediction for who will be in the super bowl. the guy says bears vs chargers. just wondering if any one thinks this could happen. I personaly think colts over cowboys. I think payton finnly getser done. afc east dolphins, afc north bengals, south colts, west denver, wild card patriots, steelers,. nfc north packers brett sill got it, east cowboys, south panthers, west cardinals, wild card bears, giants. nfc championship packers at cowboys. afc championships colts vs denver.
Dallas sucks. ESPN has an agenda and crams them down everyone's throat so the public believes they're good. But in reality they have 7-9 written all over them.

i hope you're right about their record.
regarding media agendas: i'm a philadelphian, and noone more than me hates the "america's team" mentality the media imposes on football fans. it's been happening since the days of brent musberger and phyllis george. while they heaped endless praise on the cowboys, former eagle irv cross would just sit there smiling like it was all great. my father, present for the '47, '48, and '60 champeenships, used to silently get up and take a walk around the house when that would happen, steam coming out of his ears. it hurt him to the core of his soul.
HOWEVER: i'm not so inclined to think that the media are overhyping the 'boys this year. there's plenty of stuff going on down there that interests cowboy lovers AND cowboy haters. And while I think that a Super Bowl prediction for them is WAAAAY out of line, I also don't think they're a lock to finish under .500.
They have an excellent defense, an excellent coach, and a potentially NAAAZZZZ-tee passing game.
it's all about whether or not their o-line comes together, and whether or not the intangibles don't become a huge negative factor.
Ninja, I agree with you on all but the Donkeys...If you remember they lost their first game last year and then went on a win streak ending up the #2 seed in the AFC...
The Dolphins are easily the most overrated team in the league, Bret Farve is an ego miniacle a$$hole, and the Colts backs belong on a Pop Warner field...
Also your Patsies didnt look very impressive against possibly one of the worst organizations in football, I think you got the better end of the deal for Branch, but this year your recieving corps. sucks.

I am not sure how are recieving corps. will be seeing as I assumed Chad Jackson would end the season as our #1 and he didn't play, and we are all hoping Gabriel can be the #2 or #3, and he didn't play. I would say "the jury is out" on that one.
As far as my picks go I was more certain on Miami and the Broncos than the rest. Plummer had a bad first game last year, then felt like he could settle in for whatever reason. It is all different with Cutler breathing down his neck. If he can't settle down by week 5 he will get pulled.
The Colts "might" win without a running game. The Dolphins and Broncos just SUCK.
PS - I thought the Steelers would suck too, but they looked better than good Thursday. If Willie Parker's mini-a$$ can survive 16 games you might be alright.
the colts need to make a decision about which guy is gonna be the primary back. if they keep pussyfootin around, neither of those guys will be effective. they're both 'riddim' backs. i say use the rook as a changeup back this year. he looks uncertain at times. i wouldn't be shocked to see dungy take forever to figure out which guy to go with. i still think the colts win that division.
after yesterday, it sure DOES look like the donks aren't close to elite. but it's true: miami handed them their a$$es a year ago, opening day, too. it'd be more surprising to me if they DIDN'T get it together.
but the pick of mine that I'M re-thinking has GOT to be Carolina. dang. they done got whooped but good, and by a MORA coached team, no less. the Her-pants haven't looked this worthy of their girly teal colored uniforms in a LONG time.
