Bears fans, any wagers on the game?

Any wagers on the big game Sunday? It's bold for the Packer fan to call out the Bears fans this year, but I'm doin it. Not a big wager, something stupid though. Any ideas? If your not a Bears or Packers fan, I don't care what you have to say.

Alex Brown probably is going to get limited action, and Israel Idonije is out totally, it looks like the DE position is going to be one of the Bears weaknesses for the day. Ogunleye is a good DE, but he is not doing what I expected since coming to da Bears. Mark Andersen is the the only other backup DE they have. Probably won't matter that much though, that DT rotation is tough. Scott, Boone, Harris, and Johnson are by far the best DT rotation in the league.

My personal opinion is that with little DE pressure, they could roll Favre out and make he11 for the secondary. Contrary to popular belief, he does well on the roll outs. Vasher is going to have his hands full with Jennings while Tillman is going to have his hands even more full with Driver. Ferguson offers little at WR for the Packers. They will however have Franks at 100% who is a terror in the redzone, but no where else on the field. Donald Lee can stretch the field and will be the LBs, so I expect him to have a decent day. I would run strong side, over Ogunleye and Hillenmeyer, I believe (from observations) that they are weaker against the run than Brown and Briggs...especially since we have our blocking TE back who blows up LBs.  If the Packers can establish a solid passing game (which I think they will) and run the ball even a little in certain situations (3rd and short, goalline, etc.), I think they will score points and keep it real close.

On the flip side, I fully expect da Bears Oline to have their hands full. They are very good don't get me wrong, but I think our Dline will put as much pressure on them as any team in the league will. We have 3 DEs that can finally play the run well, and obviously KGB being the one who can't is the situation pass rusher. Jenkins offers alot as a pass rushing DT. Pickett is a fat man in the middle who takes up 2 Olinemen and clogs the gaps. We finally have LBs who can run with the TEs. Clark will still be a factor, but not as much as previous years. The big thing for da Bears is to pick on Woodson and Carroll in the passing game, and run on KGB when he is in. If they can do that, they will score points.

Just some thoughts and observations.

Pretty accurate assessment of our teams but I still do not think it will be a close game except MAYBE on the scoreboard. The Bears SHOULD dominate. The lack of depth at DE is a concern but maybe Rivera will mix it up and blitz some, maybe a Mike Brown blitz like the one last year that left Favruh making that ugly grimace. Our run game may also struggle at first judging from what I saw in the preseason but I think we will do better in the second half. I think Rex will have to win this one for us and in doing so, turn a few heads in the league.

When I talk smack about da Bears, I get azzhole responses. When I try and speak objectively and give the opposing team credit for being good, I get azzhole responses.

Ok, you have my interest. If the Packers win, you have to sport a, how did you put it when Aaron Rodgers did it, "a cheesy Sausage Factory worker stache". Unless you already do, lord knows thats "fashionable" in Wisconsin and Illinois.

So thats that. All Those interested, post up your pre-Ditka stached faces by Sunday.

Bears VS the Packers straight up loser sports a Ditka Stache for 1.5 months (my stache doesnt grow as fast and won't be nearly cheesy enough in 1 month should I lose).

Entrants cannot shave from Friday on, so as to get a head start on the Ditkaness for your first sculpting trim after 7:00 central on Sunday. I have a 5 day headstart and will keep it like that until then.

Vintage Ditka Stache in all its majesty

I'm definately in on this bet. Here is my "before" shot:

And there will be no need for an "after" since the Bears are gonna roll the Pack.
