Where to begin? I have three candidates: 1) Chad Pennington -- 319 yds 2TDs and no INTs, we (and I include myself in this) probably jumped the gun saying that his career was basically over. 2) Rams D -- 3 INTs and 2 forced fumbles! Either Haslett is the MAN, or please join me as I welcome back... Jake "The Mistake" Plummer! 3) Frank Gore
Who's Frank Gore. Anyway, I'd have to go with GB getting shut out at HOME!! Also, the New England Patriots, my suicide pick for this week, barely getting past Buffalo! Seattle surviving at the gun? Or maybe Drew Deadsoe! How about the two brothers from the "Holy Family of Football" battling it out! Reggie Bush? By the way, congratulations to the KC Chiefs defense, which sucked again yesterday at home vs. Cinci! A super bowl favorite getting pounded at home??? lol...I don't know where to go from here, I mentioned just about every headline from yesterday! lol!!!
New Pats RB Lawrence Maroney running horizontally across a hyped up Bills defense and finding his hole on the other side.
He keeps that sh1t up, and we are getting a 4th ring.
He is really explosive.....WOW. I also liked watching Dillon pounding it in the middle and running over people for first downs. They have to get those two new receivers up to speed and Brusci back before it's all clicking on all cylinders though. They were out of synch for the first half yesterday. Chalk that up to the first game of the year. They adjusted in the second half and got it done.

AP- Trent Green was spotted wandering naked on At the Chiefs owned Arrowhead stadium playing field murmurring over and over again "Where is my brain....I know I left it out here somewhere"

You have got to be kidding me ninja. At halftime all you f*ckin chowdaheads were booing up a storm. Face it: Buffalo came a hair away from knocking you off at home, and they did so making bad decisions and stupid errors. Their athleticism on defense is clearly better than NE's. And this is a team that may be bottom three in the league and may have the worst coach in the business. Going for it on 4th downwith a 10 point lead? Changed the momentum of the game right there.
You make it out like you kicked their a$$. Keep lying to yourself.
Hey, look we came out unprepared, and before we got our heads on right we had basically spotted them a nice lead. This with 2 of our projected starting receivers on the bench.
By the time we figured it out we still had what it took to come in and steal the win back.
I am not lying to myself, an ugly game is an ugly game, we will have them this year, and we had them in 03' and we had them in 04'. Both ended up 14-2 Super Bowl seasons.
Can we win this year? No, probably not with this rusty start and the passing game thing, but we are putting ourselves in great position to win inside a year or two.
So don't lie to yourself, Maroney is a beast, and if he can stay healthy he will be the MAN. This Pats jealousy thing is getting sorta old.

I am as well, but don't sell the Jets short, and if the line is any more than a TD, take the Jets and the points.
The Pats are a good team, this year, but nowhere ner the GREAT team I think alot of the fans were expecting. Brady does NOT have his head on straight yet, and I don't think this Branch trade is the solution to that.
Mangini knows a good deal about how the Patriots play ball, and that won't help them at all. If Pennington plays this week like last, the Jets could pull off the upset that the Bills squandered.
I don't think the Pats are great either. However the Jets played a team last week that virtually had no defense, so no wonder Pennington did what he did to them. I expect him to have a more difficult time this week vs. the Pats than he did this past Sunday against Tennessee.

Final Score: Pats 27, Jets 14
Logically, yes that is about right for a final score, but that does not account for how bad our o-line was last week, or the fact that "Golden Boy" is acting like a pouty pre-schooler.
The Pats still have some bright spots on that team, getting a few more players on the field this week will help as well, but I expect us to lose at least 2 "shockers" this year, so why not 1 to the Jets?
Honestly, Seau was "a force" on defense last week and that is pitiful. When a 37yo LB that has been on the team 2 weeks makes a serious contribution......... you're FU.CKED.
All pats talk aside, the most unbelievable thing to happen on opening weekend was to see Carson Palmer, Daunte Culpepper, Drew Brees and Chad Pennington STARTING!!! None of them should have even been playing with their respective injuries. Hell, throw in McNabb for good measure! Just to see all of those guys play this soon was amazing enough for me.

Lesson learned from the Bengals & Clippers: It can always get worse, but it will get better.
To add to what I previously said. I'm sure Belichick is gonna add wrinkles this week that Mangini is not going to expect. I highly doubt that this week is gonna be the "shocker" you're expecting. But, after this week comes a BRUTAL 3-game stretch (home vs. Denver, at Cinci, home vs. Miami). Now they BETTER be at the top of their game for those 3 games or else they could be sitting at 2-3 after 5 games (and I wouldn't be shocked if they lost all 3 of them either). Before that, however, they gotta take care of business against the Jets this Sunday, and I'm pretty confident that they will. In addition, I think they are also going to show this week that they are a better team than the one that took the field this past Sunday against Buffalo.
By the way Pink Taco, lemme just say that the three teams that pitched the shutouts (Baltimore, Chicago, and San Diego) were the ones that had the quality defenses. The only shutout victim who had a quality defense I felt was TB. The defenses of GB and Oakland in my mind are average at best.
Chad Pennington had better pull an insurance policy with Loyds of London before Sundays game. The Pats have had his # for years and usually end up sacking him and intercepting him multiple times.
The new wrinkes this year are:
A) The Pats D-line is one of the very best in the league with Wilfork and Tye Warren coming of age next to Seymor.
B) The Jets O-line is...ummm... "Re-building".
C) Mangini's knowledge of the Pats will help......but Diabolical Bill will plan for that.
I meant that the teams that won had great defenses. Seriously, im a packers fan, but im not deluded. haha, the defense showed how good it was with the 3rd down conversion rate, and the nice pass defense on the first drive. The shocking one was tampa, but three is still amazing
