I figured it out!! I know why we (Vikes Fans) are so excited/happy/pumped up!!!!
Its not jsut that we are 2 and 0 and heading for 3 and 0 (not hat that hurts mind you)
It’s that for the FIRST IME IN YEARS- we are only playing one team!!! We are not worried about the Vikings giving away the game!!!
NO more non-adjustments at the half no more awful open field tackling no more grade school level play calling no more pouty whiney players getting away with it no more fumbling stumbling mindless soulless prevent defense crap when we're up by 10!!!

you have to forgive saturn, he didn't sense that your a cute viking fan whose diggin a new era for our team! do you also feel a certain calmness that hasn't been there since Bud (greatest coach) Grant--it's not that im feelin ****y, but back then and now i just know that the games will be doable, will have our opportunities, hopfully looking for 2 of 3 and 3 of 4 game runs. this coach and staff, don't forget this name, Mike Tomlin the dc, have things pointed in the right direction, no doubt. My prediction is this-- we'll have obtained our 1st world champanion within coach childress's first contract.

Timmy!!!!! DUDE you are SO taking my language!! Bud Grant was the best coach this team EVER had. But the fan in me would love to see Brad Childress make that a fighting topic at the bar! And yes on the calm...I just dont get that panicky "holy crap will Daunte hold onto the ball - will Micheal bennett trip on that chunk of AIR over there" How much do you not miss that!!!!! Mike Tomlin may be the DC of my dreams...I LOVE how our defense is playing!

i can imagine that a close observer of vike related matters like yourself would've noticed childress' intelligence right away: such a marked contrast from the meathead you had up there before.
based on his work at wisconsin, what he says, and how things worked while he was here in philly, here's what you have to look forward to under brad:
-an offense that pounds the rock (he never seemed comfortable calling Andy reid's passpasspass offense)
-an emphasis on keeping the offensive and defensive lines fortified with plenty of horses (something reid does that brad DID seem comfortable with here)
-he'll insist on having a stud QB: it'll be the top priority (I don't know Tavaris Jackson at all...is "theeee QB" already on the roster?)
-oh..and no love boat bull$hit or primadonna crap.

well, when your in fla. viking fans are few and far between so its good that someone else sees that the organization has found leadership from the owner on down the line. i realize winning every week isn't reality at the present, but our future with the new owner, new coach, hungry players and the smash mouth approach, not to mention plans for an open-air stadium w/ snow games--man, that's what i'm talkin about. ps. pretty much asked pd out, not much response--REJECTED!!! ah, the life of the male species. by the way, go b, i just laugh when chicks say that's too nasty-- why then have 72 % of women polled suggested that they enjoy it!!!
