Now now.....over 2 years ago there was 0 Bears talk on this site. It was all Packers and Steelers, for a long time i was the ONLY bears fan on here. Last preseason I stepped up and said the Bears would be the surprise team in the NFL....and did I catch sh*t for that one (ask Shack...he was responsible for much of the stuff i caught) for clarification I said Chicago would go 10-6 last year (before Grossman went down) and I had the Vikings winning the division...not exactly drinking the kool-aid. I said I thought they could still go 8-8 after losing Grossman, and even the other Bears fans on here thought I was crazy.
Last year was the first year in many the Bears fans had something to be happy about, this year is even better. If it seems we are hard on the Packers fans on this site it is because we are regurgitating all the crap they spouted for years...it goes back to one of my favorite sayings.....DON'T START NONE.....WON'T BE NONE
Who knows. Referencing the 85 Bears, swagger goes a long way.
One thing to consider before you start chalking up losses for the Bears...As opposed to the colts from last year, and any other team that was in position to threaten season perfection, the Bears seem to enjoy their defensive prowess more so than any other team....And our backup qb is very good. Combine that with a weak schedule???? What this means is that no matter what, this team will be out to play and play well all the time. This means no junk touchdowns and late game heroics are going to dent their records. This is a growing source of pride for them, and will continue to be the center of focus for the team. Those records will come closer to being threatened this year than any other year because of that.
