nfc champion

i'm thinkin the altanta falcons, cause their offensive scheme will stay ahead of defenses for at least a season-- their defense, contingent on j. abraham's not missing significant time, looks like they get after it hard. i don't know their schedule, i just wonder how they hold up in playoff weather?

Not a chance. Seattle or Chicago will win the NFC, whoever gets the #1 seed.

LOL...Timmy you're a riot! Do you REALLY think that NFL cordinators will take a whole year to "catch" on to a College scheme?.....yep....none of them have EVER seen an option offense before....LMMFAO....best go ask Gary Crowton how that stuff works....if they need to find out how to stop it all they need to do is see what college teams have done to stop West Viginia in the past....because thats who they are stealing it from.

I love the fact that the Dirty Birds are playing an option offense it will give you your best chance of having an NFL QB......because Vick won't last the year in it, and out will come Schaub....remember last year at the Bears when Vick started scrambling around?....quit that crap right after they peeled Urlacher off of him....they try that November 19th and Ray Lewis will be munching his drumsticks early....thats if he survives Pittsburg and Cincy (3-4s work better against option Os than a 4-3 does)

There is a reason that they don't run the option in the NFL, even though there are, and have been several quarterbacks capable of running the scheme brilliantly and efficiently.

It's called injury. You are subjecting your quarterback to a pounding by much bigger and faster players than that of the college scene.

The scheme is great, but vick will not last a full season...Mark my words....And when they do, what do you do then, change your entire playbook to suit your QB's talents? Good luck doing that during the season. Schaub cannot run that offensive scheme, and Vick is not only prone to injury...he is now more likely to be injured. It will prove disastrous later in the year. For now it will work brilliantly.

They have been protecting Vick pretty well though. I wouldn't expect the guy to have a long career doing that, but he could make it through a season.

Seeing is believing when it comes to Vick making it through the season. He couldn't make it through the season running the pass happy west coast last year?????

This sort of has that same feel. First game at the rebuilt BioDome...MNF ect...ect...

I'll be in my office today till 11pm. thank fukn god. You are going to hear more pregame Katrina\biodome BS....than a wing\beer filled stomach can handle

Saints may have O, but their D sucks!  I think Vick and Dunn will prove to be too much for this team to stop.

Final Score:  Falcons 27, Saints 17

Get outta here Timmy, lots of teams would have clobbered the Saints tonight. Atlanta is just WAAAAAAAYYYYYYY overrated, one of the most overrated in the league. You fell for the hype, stick your foot in your mouth like GoBears aka GB (as in Green Bay).

all i know is that when that game started the Falcons started pissing down thier leg....Mike Vick 12-31 137 yards, not bad for a RB, putrid for a QB...if the dude was only as good as the hype, Falcons would have been world champs for the last 4 years!

Well....IDK about that. I mean the Saints were playing off pure adrenaline and emotion. And YES, after what I saw with the Falcons last night, I ABSOLUTELY think they're overrated! I think they might have gone in there with the attitude that they were gonna be able to stomp and run all over this team. That attitude OBVIOUSLY backfired!

Anyway, I'm sure this Saints victory gives Saints fans and the people of New Orleans something to feel good about.
