There's a 99% chance that the Nashville sports media in question are Titans fans. Maybe objectivity should take precedence over homerism, but keeping a lid on the story gives the Titans the best chance to win this week, and they're currently hanging with a superior Dallas team thanks to solid play from Young. Not to mention if they leak the story early and Fischer calls them on blowing the beneficial secret, the readers would no doubt take Fischer's side.
Given the way Collins has played it was inevitable the Titans were going to start Young sooner than later. The Titans are not a good team so why the big secret about who is going to start this week. Who cares. Its a lame strategy from a scared coach with one foot out the door. Its the slightest of advantages that turned out to not be an advantage at all. Don't worry so much about Vince Young going out and winning the game just worry about his development and getting him some experience. Fisher doesn't have that luxury and it sounds like he is pre-panic mode.
I've met Jeff Fisher, he's a real nice guy. He's a good guy who knows what the he11 he is doing. He had a reason for doing what he did. He doesn't just make random decisions like that, he has a reason for everything he does. He takes care of his fans and his players. He possibly thought having it blabbed everywhere that Young was starting would put too much pressure on the young QB which would not be good.
I'm not a Titans fan in ANY way, shape, or form, but I do like Jeff Fisher.
The real story in Tennessee is this Hanyesworth CRAP! That guy needs to be suspended for a couple games. It was completely out of line and just all around sh1tty. Probably the most a$$ hole thing I've seen in the NFL in a while. I liked Albert when he played at U of Tennessee and I have liked him since......my opinion has since dropped. Fisher said he would do something if he didn't like the league punishment, and I believe him. I don't expect big Albert to play next week.
