RE: Farve must go

The coaches have been VERY impressed with Rodgers this year. He's head and shoulders better than last year. Favre gives the Packers a better chance to win, which is why he is in. So far he has shown nothing but being good so far this season. INTs are down, confidence in his team is up. The young oline is getting better every week and he now has a legit #2 behind Driver.

If Rodgers is improving why wouldnt the coaching staff want to get him game experience?  Favre is not going to be there next year, so why not let Rodgers grow with his young recievers, and O-line, it makes no sense to me to play Favre this year when expectations are not high, Favre's presence is stunting the growth of Rodgers...

Well, if Favre keeps playing well, why wouldn't he want to come back? And on an aside, I personally think they'll wind up losing to Buffalo tomorrow (Favre has never won at Ralph Wilson by the way), but whether they're 3-5 or 4-4 after tomorrow, they're certainly not out of it.

I personaly think its crazy to think GB will lose to buffalo, buffalo is weak against the run witch is all the sudden a strong point of GB, also buffalo has weak passing and strong running, wich matches up perfectly in favor of GB's defense

For the record, favre also never won in miami, but he did that for the first time this year - and all the times favre did lose in buffalo, he was playing a significantly higher quality bills team - i think this team just has to much momentum to go on the road and lose to a 2 win team right now, im almost gaurenteeing a green bay victory.

My personal thoughts, Favre is back next year, rodgers holds the clip board for his third consecutive year next year. I think Favre is having more fun than hes had in about 5 years, and McCarthy has the perfect offensive scheme to resurect favre's career, and so far its proving to do just that

i agree w/ your logic, but it assumes 2 things
1) That Favre is not coming back next year
2) That Green Bay is not interested in making hte playoffs this year, I don't think they will make the playoffs. But they have a chance and you gotta try. Getting their league high 19 rookies in the playoffs would give them a level confidence more important than "geling with Rodgers"

If Rodgers is good at all, then gelling won't be an issue. A good QB will get his receivers the ball.

Everyone just stop with your "get Rodgers PT" BS, Favre is the QB, and until he retires, the only way Rodgers will see the field is if we are down by 30 or up by 30. Simple as that, favre getting hurt or benched is out of the question.

That's rediculous logic. So the Packers should throw in the towel and let Rodgers play? Sit Favre, who gives the Packers a better chance of winning, just to give Rodgers some experience. Thats stupid. It's not like the Packers are 0-7 with no hope of having a winning season....they are 3-4 and getting better every week. The Packers are playing for the playoffs whether you think they can make it or not. You don't play a season planning for the next...you play to win, period.

If this season has taught everyone anything, it's that this is NOT the Packer teams of old. This is a new era of Packer football, and we cannot depend on tendencies and past records to make predictions. Usually we beat New Orleans, we lost. We've never beat Miami in Miami, and we won. New team, new coach. I'm not taking anything for granted with this team.

My pre-game analysis:

-Buffalo comes in with the 18th ranked rush defense and the 14th ranked pass defense. On offense, they have the 28th ranked passing offense and the 24th ranked rush offense.

-The Packers are going in with the 8th ranked passing offense and the 11th ranked rush offense. We obviously have the 32nd ranked pass defense, and the 9th ranked rush defense.

My conclusion:

Our offense should have no problem moving the ball on their defense. We should be able to maintain the same balance we had against Arizona...probably not as glamorous, but we will have similar success.

On defense, they shouldn't be able to run on us and should be able to pass a little. I expect a similar outcome to the Arizona and Miami games.

Packers go to 4-4 by winning:

Packers - 31

Bills - 17

I think it's gonna be an ugly football game. Whether the Packers end up winning or losing this one, it's not one of the better Week 9 matchups.

Well that game sucked. Packers shot themselves in the foot. We really should and could have beat the Bills easily, but we shot ourselves in the foot. INTs, mishandled snaps, and poor play calling. Losses like this are the hardest to swallow. Vikings week starts now. GO PACKERS!!!

Wow, it hurts so bad to see your team dominate but still find a way to lose by stupid turnovers. My heart sank watching favre put together a brilliant drive only to have a tipped ball picked in the end zone - look i want to see favre break the record as much as anybody, but we didnt have the luxory of throwing the ball there, why didnt they just let ahman green pound it out from 1 yard on first down? i meen he was a big reason we were in that game throw him a bone for christ sakes.
