Roethlisberger....I told you guys he is hiding something

Steelers | Roethlisberger dealing with tennis elbow
Tue, 10 Oct 2006 18:09:33 -0700

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher said there was nothing to an NBC-TV report that QB Ben Roethlisberger (elbow) was favoring his right arm during the team's Week 5 game. However, Roethlisberger's right arm was in a sling when he left the game. Cowher said too much is read into the health of his quarterback. He went on to note Roethlisberger has a little tennis elbow but is fine.

Tennis elbow my balls Big Ben. Try Hondaitis. Its a condition that arises when you fly into the hood of a car at 3o+ miles per hour a$$hole.

You don't lose accuracy in one years time.....That is unless there is something wrong with you.

The guy couldn't hit the broad side of a barn 10 feet from it with a fukn basketball right now....

It will come out, just as soon as the Steelers media/fans start throwing these bullsh1tters to the wolves. Thats when the old "Ben is tough and is playing through an injury will come out"

The superbowl hangover is about to end, then back to reality.

Before this season started I said the Steelers would blow, and this board RIPPED me.

I was told they wouldn't miss Bettis, and that Roth-lisp-burger was fine.

They told me I was jealous because the Steelers were going to erase the recent Pats run from the collective memory.

I was told the Steelers were going to repeat with ease!

well, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

THE STEELERS SUCK DIRTY A$$, B1TCHES!!!!!

Bettis was the biggest loss. With him Ben didnt have to be great ...just good.  What did Ben complete last year ...something like 15-19 passes a game....WTF

Bettis by himself  "was"  the 4th quarter..the guy was money.

And while were on the Steelers...how about Randel El.    I need to find SOMETHING to sell to Daniel Snyder...fukn joke. How much did they pay that guy????

Now we move on to TJ Duckett. Replacement for Bettis ??? No way....Bettis was a freak of nature. Big fat fuk good guy..who could really play. But in comes (I really really need to find something to sell this guy) Dan Snyder...who trades for Duckett.....then doesnt play him......once again...WTF ???

Bottom line...the Steelers were not great last year....some good play down the stretch and some helpful calls in the SB

But...I really realy really need to find something to sell to Daniel Snyder

TACO....I have a problem with your thesis bro.

The only games that Jerome really had an impact in last season were:

San Diego- 17 carries   54 yards   1 TD

Cincinnatti Game 1-  13 carries   56 yards   0 TD

Chicago-  17 carries   101 yards  2 TD

Detroit-  10 carries   41 yards  3 TD

I mean seriously, if you can't replace that production.....

He was injured and did not play for over 1/4 of the season.  He didn't even rush for 400 yards total.  Jerome wasn't as money as you think he was.

I agree the Steelers weren't great last year.  We got hot and rode our QB and defense to the SB, where we outplayed Seattle on special teams, took advantage of bad Seattle mistakes, played good bend but don't break defense, and got the calls.  But that doesn't mean we didn't deserve that title.

As far as Ben goes, I don't know what's know with him.  I think the offense line has been subpar and it's making him look worse than he is.  He may take a little while to get back.  He may suck all year and be back next year.  Hell, he might never be the same and will flame out.  But I have confidence in him, and think he is a serious player when he is on.

JETBLACKNINJA:  You are one dumba$$ mutherf*cker.  Is your memory shorter than your d*ck?  Do you remember when your team started 1-3 in 2001?  What happened that year?  My team isn't out of it.  We have played 3 teams that were jacked out of their mind for us, and all three were winnable games.  We aren't sunk.  And you better hope that Ben sucks bro, because if he comes back you better believe your team will have another contender to deal with.

And speaking of your team.  3 wins close wins against soft division opponents.  I'll give you credit for stomping the Bungles, but I think it will come out that their not that good either.  You guys have the softest schedule in the league, and that may come back to bite you come playoff time.  Good luck chowdahead, fu*kin loser.

ChrisW.......I said he was money in the 4th Quarter. Run down the clock, key first downs, goal line carries...not to mention he was the ultimate "bad weather" back.

The Steelers will straighten this mess out....but repeat in the SB...not a chance

I personally have never been a Roethlisberger fan. He did just enough to win all those games for them, kinda like a poor man's Trent Dilfer if such a thing exists. He's not terrible but he's no better than average in my book. Tout his wins all you want, but Larry Coker had alot of wins too when he had great players.

I think the Steelers have "issues" on offense. The running game is no where near as strong as it has been in the past and it forces Ben to be more effective/productive in the passing game......and that ain't happening. Hines Ward is a great receiver.....but after him they're very limited although the tight end Heath Miller is very good and contributes. To sum up.....the offense is going to have difficulty producing.

The Defense will improve and become excellent as they progress through the season....particularly as Palamalawalaloola gets his health back.....I LOVE that guy.....awesome player.

Lemme just suggest that I think the Steelers D right now looks a bit sloppy and Queen Troy has been missing a lot of tackles as of late. However, despite the issues they have right now on each side of the ball, I still feel this team is definately capable of going on a TREMENDOUS hot streak. A lot of people wrote them off last year when they were 7-5, and guess what happened. Anyway, hot streak or not, I do expect them to get the job done against the Chiefs this week at home.

A poor man's Trent Dilfer? Yeah his first year for the most part he might have lead only one or two game winning drives, which could be possible to say he's Dilferesque, but not last year's performance.

Personally I think the two big problems with the Burgh is the lack of coinfidence in running the ball and the lack of production on the offensive line. This line is huge and didn't produce that well last year or this year. Last year Big Ben was getting this as pressured as he is now and was making plays with guys draping all over him, now he can't do that and everyone wants to get on his case. Gee no one ever thought that maybe if the OFFENSIVE line could pick up a blitz and keep these guys away that maybe he wouldn't need to looke like Mike Vick in the pocket in order to get a pass off.

Now I can understand a low rushing average if we run the ball a lot and everyone expects it, but when you only try to run 4 times (for roughly 12 yards, which has happened twice this season at least) in the second half of games your not setting yourself up to win games.

As for Ben's play, I think he's recovering and it's showing game to game. The Jacksonville game his passes where really high, really endangered his recievers and put them in spots to get lit up by defenders. The next game with the Bengals his passes were a lil lower but still too high and some of those younger recievers and Mr. Quilted Soft Morgan don't feel like going out and catching them after the beating the Jags gave them (QSM might still be hearing footsteps). Against SD he just didn't have the time in the pocket to get anything done. In each game his accuracy has improved and I think it's just a matter of time before he gets back on top of his game with picking up making the right reads and throws. All this talk about Charlie Batch is kinda silly, because the problems in Big Ben's game are things that just need to be played out and should be helped along by friendly play calling - which hasn't happened like last year.

The only other issue I think that should be addressed that shouldn't really be an excuse for their play but a reminder of their ability and why they're in the position they're in is: They entered the season with the hardest schedule of any team(based on previous year wins), plus the giant SBC target on their backs. Unfortunately as the season progresses their opponents haven't gotten any easier. Now this is not an excuse, just a reminder that hey how good of a season can they have when 11 (would have been 13 if not for the Crapepper not being the next coming of Dan Marino and the Bucs not able to continue on from last year) of their 16 games are against teams that are legit playoff threats.

This very well may not be the Steelers year, and I'm fine with it, but I'll still root for them. But next year they'll get a much easier schedule if they can't get themselves out of this mess now.
