Falcons and Ravens exposed

These two frauds continue to show their true colors. Ravens fans, I don't want to hear the McNair getting injured excuse, especially since Boller played better than McNair has in any game this season. The Falcons can't pass and the Ravens can't run or pass the majority of the time.

Yes, I would DEFINATELY be concerned now if I were a Ravens fan. And I also think Bengals fans should be concerned as well; they lost to a team that was 0-4 going into this game!

Derr the falcons arnt for real, if you have a quarterback who cant pass you cant go all the way, and anyone who thinks vick is ever going to be anything but someone who is fun to watch run against crappy D's, spreads herpes and endorses alot of **** and the favorite of every non-educated football fan, your wrong.

The Ravens are not frauds, no one can fault any team for losing to Carolina by 2 points, who IMHO is in the top 5 teams in the NFL. Sure McNair is one of the most overrated QBs basicly ever, but hes better than Kyle Boller, and i dont care what u want to say about anything Boller did today, McNair could of done better.

I agree that McNair is overrated. Manning shouldn't have been made to share the MVP title with him that year.

i disagree, that was a very solid MVP year for McNair, he deserved the MVP more than Manning did that year, i thought. Unfortunatly, '03 and '01 were McNair's only above average years he has ever produced. Wich for as much as McNair is talked up, youd think he would of had more than 2 good years out of 12.

On the ravens as frauds issue, what are you kidding? They (samari rolle in particular) got totally ripped apart by steve smith, who pretty much does that to everyone he plays. Is there any question that he is the best receiver in the nfl? Noone else on that team was at all effective against the ravens today. How many first downs did smith have in that game? Must have been more than half of the carolina first downs. They need to solve that problem of samari rolle, though it is possible that ed reed and dawan landry are partly to blame. This certainly isn't the first week where I have been screaming after samari rolle got beat for a deep touchdown. The only 2 other passing touchdowns allowed this season, other than the 4 yard dink to rod smith over mccalister, were deep bombs to wide open wide receivers. If not for that opening touchdown where rolle fell over against the chargers, that game would have been alot less close.

On the upside, the loss of mcnair has revealed what is incredibly obvious to myself and friends. Mcnair totally gimps the ravens running attack because noone is scared that he will throw the ball more than 10 yards. With boller in there, everything about the ravens offense worked better because the defense knew they had to actually worry about being thrown over top of if they played too close. jamal lewis had his best game of the season today, though he was limited to only 12 touches, thanks to the fact that he was no longer being hit in the backfield on every other play. And let's not forget that this was against the tremendously talented carolina defense. It isn't like boller came in and he and jamal started having success against the browns, who made mcnair and lewis look like pro bowlers. Also, this is now the first time in the whole season where the ravines have scored 3 offensive touchdowns, and against an excellent defense. Additionally, it is clearly apparant that the ravens defensive line is among the very best in football. Noone can run on this team, and delhomme was frequently under pressure, causing both of his interceptions.

I'm not buying the Falcons are frauds. Any team able to average over 200 yards a game rushing must be doing sumpen constinstently right. Against the Giants, and like the way the Saints played them, they didn't stay on the field long enough and Vick was contained and pressuered greatly in to making bad throws and getting sacked - which is more due to the play of the other team and the Falcon's defense not being able to get off the field.

Now the one thing about the Falcons that is absolutely a fraud is their ranking in run defense coming in to the game (#2 in the league). They really hadn't faced a serious rushing threat until Sunday and I think they were greatly exposed, and everyone realizes nothing has changed since last year.

To say the least this team isn't eniterly great, good enough to get to the playoffs probably. But their defense is the thing that really needs to step up because I can't see this offense being able to out score many teams.

As for the Ravens its a bit too early to throw them to the buzzards and say they're just lucky. This is still a team with the talent to get it done on both sides of the ball. Yeah, McNair hasn't had a great game this year - but this guy was brought over in the middle of the summer. He's gotta learn a new playbook, the vernacular of the play calling, and get comfortable with the players around him. This is definitely a team I see getting rolling later in the year, and these early loses will really help them out in the long run. What I see as the bigger challenge for this team is Bilick creating and calling the plays that will enable this offense to get moving. It's got the players, it just needs to plays.

I wasn't referring to just this game. They squeeked out 2 wins against THE BROWNS and a Charger team that was playing so conservative it embarrassed John Ashcroft. Their other 2 wins came during bye weeks (Bucs pre Gradkowski and Raiders post merger). Yeah they have a good defense but they hadn't really faced a decent offense till this week (again not counting the Chargers who now seem light years from where they were when they played the Ravens). If you think the Ravens are for real you got another thing coming my friend.

Both teams will eventually be exposed because neither one can throw the ball which in the end will lose you games.

Both of the Ravens big pass plays yesterday were on tips that ended up being lucky.  Even with Mcnair they have no vertical passing game and Vick can't throw to save his life.

Well regarding the Falcons, it don't get any easier for them, because they have the Stillers coming in this week!  Talk about a defense that might end up brutally ABUSING Mike Vick!!!

When the Ravens score 3 td's they're supposed to win the game. It had nothing to do with McNair being injured and by now I'm sure you've noticed Boller came in and moved the offense better than McNair. I don't care if they were lucky tip td's. Clayton still had to have the presense of mind to go after the ball and the guy has burners.

The real problem is we aren't getting our pass rush going anymore and Samari Rolle is out there looking stupid and getting raped. He was even getting beat by 4th recievers. Ed Reed plays on too much instinct and yesterday he hurt us. He was supposed to be helping Samari and when the D really had to step up Reed blew his assignment. Assuming Samari still has a foot problem and has two weeks to rest makes things better. My biggest fear is that he is older and he sucks now. We'll find out. You have to be fawkin crazy to cover Steve Smith 1 on 1. I can't think of one corner who could shut him down when he is healthy. Steve Smith is incredible. He looks even more incredible when its your team he is running all over. That whole Carolina team was all business.

Are the Ravens a fluke? I don't think so. Of course my opinion is biased but to be sitting 4-2 going into our bye I'm very comfortable with where we are. I thought we would maybe be 2-4 at this point losing to Denver, San Diego, Carolina, and Tampa. Tampa wasn't supposed to be a flop but in the early part of the season we stood up to Carolina and San Diego which are 2 legit teams. I have to believe McNair is only going to get better but this division will be won by Cincy, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh going at it in the division. Our records are tightening up and so far we have only played Cleveland. We're good enough now to be playing late November and December games that really matter so Baltimore does have to be considered a team to contend with. A third of the season is over and we're in first place.

I never said the Ravens were a fluke. When I call them "frauds" I mean it more towards the analysts that had them ranked with the elite. They earned their wins against bad to mediocre teams but once they faced teams that are closer to elite than they are, they lost. That's the way it's supposed to be. the ravens look like a 10-6 at best and 7-9 at worst to me. They have not fluked their wins, they are what they are, and what they are is just not elite. If they could get their running game going then we can talk, but till now, they are pretty mediocre.

I think your offense got exposed last night. As well as a way to move the ball on your "#1 defense" (please send a note to Edge and Green that running in to the blitz doesn't work). Which btw, it isn't #1 in the league in ANY CATEGORY, so quit saying it is.
