As always the Colts are winning games and scoring a crap ton of points and as has been the case the past couple years the love-fest will come to screeching halt in the playoffs against a good defense.
The problem, as has always been the case with high-flying passing offenses, is one off day by your quarterback equates to a flaming heap of tears and 'what coulda's'.
MOST UNDERRATED - The Browns Offense
OC Maurice Carthon was holding the team back and I'm by no means saying that team is anything other then a middle of the road offense, but with Davidson now calling the plays the play of Droughns, Frye, Edwards, Jurivious, and Winslow should improve dramatically. They are NOT the worst offense in the league as statistically they were going into week 8's action.
That would because the Bronco's defense was grossly OVER rated. No, I'm thinking more along the lines of
Jan. 16, 2005 - AFC Divisional - New England 20, Indianapolis 3 Jan. 18, 2004 - AFC Championship - New England 24, Indianapolis 14 Jan. 4, 2003 - AFC Wild Card - Jets 41, Indianapolis 0

I would also add to that list:
Jan. 15 2006 - AFC Divisional - Pittsburgh 21, Indianapolis 18
Care to rethink either of those positions after this weekend's games? The Vikings again failed to score an offensive touchdown. Whats the deal with those guys?
I don't know about underated....can you underate a team that has won that many Super Bowls in tha last few years? But they haven't been mentioned as much as they warrant.
Sorry to take so long to respond......been gone for a few days.
Anyway......very fair points made by GoBears & MiamiBear. I have seen little of the Bears so it's fair to say that my perspective is based on limited info. Point taken.
With that said.....I've seen enough to be optimistic that the Pats will beat them when they come here in a few weeks. Should be fun.

I can't wait. It is going to be an awesome game....Very Superbowl like.
And admitting your ignorance of the subject is very respectable..Usually people will try to argue their way out of a foolish baseless comment...to the detriment of their credibility....
i hate to say it, but the Purple's o-line has been overrated to this point. mckinnie is too big and slow to handle a fast outside pass rush, hutch is, i don't know what to say, but he's notplaying up his end of the deal. birk has been a bitch as usaual. and the right side has been adequate at best. this was supposed to be a top 5 o-line. they could still end up gelin' but i'm not holdin my breath.
after watching that Pats o-line i have to say they are very good.

Actually......the Pats have got a rookie at RT this year.....Ryan O'Callahan.....5th round pick. He's panning out well. They were so deep at O-Line that they traded one of their "spares" Brandon Gorin at the beginning of the season for a draft pick. Gorin actually started almost all of the games in the 2004 Superbowl season. IMO he was always the weakest link in the O-line.....not anymore....he's gone and they upgraded. On Monday against the Vikes they had a backup in at RG....Billy Yates.....never heard of him right. He's been on the practice squad for at least 2 years....but they still pay him like $400,000/year.....insurance. The starting RG Steven Neal will be back shortly from injury....he's probably their best run blocker. He's a former college wrestler and got into football late. The LG Logan Mankins was last years 1st round draft choice. Matt Light is a proven LT and they just signed the C Dan Koppen to a long term contract......he's pro-bowl material. They have them all signed to long term contracts and the oldest one is 28 or 29. They have very solid backups that fill right in without significant dropoff.
The Pats place a very high value on the line play. The base 3 D-line RT/NT/LT is made up entirely of 1st round draft choices and they're all still young.
I believe this is why they'll let a Deion Branch move on and not over-pay. I think that they value the line play higher than many teams and will not cave into the "skill position" guys trying to bend them over a barrel for huge hyped-up $$$ in free agency. I think that they value receivers....$$$-wise....lower than many other teams and they stick to their "value system".
