Damon Huard or Trent Green?

I know I am about the only Chiefs fan in this forum and that most of you follow the NFC moreso than the AFC, so I am going to throw out my opinion on what some are calling the KC QB controversy.  Who should start?  Trent Green, if he's healthy.  An against the Raiders, why not.

When I heard that Huard was going to back up Trent until Trent was well to play again, I thought for sure the Chiefs season went down the crapper before it started.  Trent has been nothing but stable and has played like a fukn wildman since he's been in Kansas City.  As a fan, yeah I was a little worried about Trent's well being as and older QB coming off a season ending injury when he first came to KC.  Trent has every reason to show off and brag about his accomplishments since he's been here, I mean, he's the best QB that KC has seen since Len Dawson and he makes Len Dawson look like a chump.  Trent is very humble about his accomplishments and has done many, many numerous things for the KC community.

I do however owe Huard an apology because I never saw anything impressive about him until this season with our first string offense.  I really thought Huard was so worthless that he needed help wiping his own ass.  Obviously, he's a very capeable backup.  My opnion though, Trent Green is the man to go to for the Chiefs again and I can't wait to see him on the field this Sunday.

its a tough choice... i think its pretty clear that herm wants green, but what happens when u take a guy whos in game form like huard, and put him back on the bench, and put in green, who has probably lost a lot of his edge by not playing in game situations (and he might even be a little bit more shakey under pressure now after getting smacked earlier this season). he's missed how many games? i'd probably go with green, he's the guy. i'm just saying that its tough to try and fix whats not really broken. and i guess if u are gonna get him back into game shape, oakland is the right matchup to ease him into it.

I totally agree with you Hark.  Why take the ball away from a guy whose got a hot hand?  Trent was out for 8 games (practically this whole season).  He will have a lot to prove, but as long as Mike Solori (the OC) and Herm give him the same playbook that they gave Damon in game 2 and 3 where we'll dink and doink ya to death, Trent will get back in his groove.  I imagine that by the 4th QRT this week, Trent will be comfortable enough to get some play action passes downfield in.  And with the respect, aggressiveness, and smarts that Trent has for professional football, it won't take him long to get back into his groove.
